Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 53-54
Title
Nightmare
Sasuke has evaded all their attacks. Is this over? Seems not. Yamato was trying to take Sasuke without having to injure him, because of Naruto and Sakura’s feelings. Now, it’s time to get serious. Sasuke then interrupts them, he’s really annoyed and doesn’t even see them as a threat. He holds his sword on the ground, does some seals and raises his hand. Yamato seems surprised and worried, he must have understood something from the seals. Then, Orochimaru appears grabs Sasuke not allowing him to use that jutsu. Sasuke just replies "Beat it" lol. It seems he doesn’t take shit from really no one.
Orochimaru and Kabuto win the argument and Sasuke takes off with them. Team Kakashi doesn’t intervene, there’s no way they could take the 3 of them.
They return to Konoha and decide they are going to get stronger and really bring Sasuke back next time. Sai says he’ll help them.
When they get to Konoha there’s some fillers that include Jiraya telling what happened to Kakashi and the Counselors discussing Naruto.
Tsunade and Danzou arrange it so that Sai will continue on Team Kakashi. Danzou states why a ninja should be emotionless. Emotions lead to hate, hate leads to war. Sasuke’s condition has happened, because of hate. But, Sai also understands about other emotions now.
It seems Sai has finally found piece and ended his personal problems related to his brother and his loneliness.
Episode’s 54 intro and OP show that there will be a new filler arc. From the OP you can tell it will be a major arc and not some lose stories. The episode’s intro is the only filler in this episode. It shows a temple (I don’t know from which country) where it seems like a Jinchuriki is letting his Bijuu run wild. I don’t actually know if it’s a Jinchuriki, but it would be nice of the creators to do a story on one of the unknown Jinchriki’s. I’m not certain if this suposed Jinchriki is the 8 tails or if I miscaunted and it’s actually the Kyuubi (since it’s Naruto’s dream).
The OP shows 4 new characters and some nicely animated scenes. It also hints that Asuma will be an important part of this arc. Seems likely since we will also be important in the upcoming episodes featuring manga material.
The actual episode was about Sai meeting Naruto’s friends and Kakashi, there were a lot of funny moments related to Sai’s ineptitude to form bonds with others. Kakashi says he’s got some new training technic that only Naruto can use. It will enable Naruto to become really strong in a short amount of time, like Sasuke did.
The episode ends with the new characters. It seems they are charching for something. Probably the "Jinchuriki" shown in the beginning.
The truth is that I’m actually excited with this fillers. Why? Shippuuden has been stretching the story which made some moments look worse and have no excitment at all. This episode was one of the first that actually felt normal. The manga material was done without added dialog and stares. If the filler story turns out to be good, I prefer that Shippuuden is done this way. At least the actual manga material will be better done.
