Naruto - Chapter 424
Determination
Tsunade is very busy trying to save all lives she can. Danzou is thinking of using this opportunity to try and take over, becoming the new Hokage.
He and his forces are on full power, waiting for the commotion to end. Konoha’s forces are really down. He won’t have much trouble with it.
Meanwhile, Shizune and the genjutsu guys are going to try to figure out who Pein is.
Kakashi survived the last hit. He used his mangekyou to send the screw to another dimension. Only Chouji is able to walk, he sends him to tell the others about Pein’s abilities, so they can have a chance. But, it seems that the "fat Pein" is still alive and has an hidden missile. He sends it to Chouji. Kakashi use the Mangekyou again to save him but, in his condition, it seems making that last effort will kill him.
It certainly seems like he died but, we never know. I hope maybe Tsunade can do something.
What will happen now? Even if Danzou takes over, Pein won’t leave before he knows Naruto’s location and Danzou can’t afford that. He’ll still have to prevent him from knowing or send someone to protect him. But, they probably have no one at their level. His best chance of taking down Pein would be now, joining forces with the rest of Konoha.
