All For Nothing

Third I gets some new clues. It seems there’s two important computer files that they need to get their hands on. One of them, the "Shikimura file" was sent to a friend of his, instructing him to give it to Takagi.

Shikimura’s friend is willing to help and Takagi is back.

Meanwhile, Fujimaru and Otoya are ready to investigate Maya.

They go to her house with the excuse of reporting and then pretend that they got a call from Haruka and leave. As Maya was changing, she couldn’t see Fujimaru actually hiding in the bathroom. Maya leaves the apartment too.

Now, Fujimaru is alone in her apartment.

Sword Of The Stranger

I watched some scenes of this movie by accident in an AMV. I got really curious as to what series it was that had such awesome animation and I didn’t know about lol

Well, turns out it was a movie, this one. So there’s a boy, a dog and an old man running from some burning temple, you can notice the production quality right in the first scene. The man tells the boy that he should be safe now and that he has to go back and check on the others. The movie then shifts to a group of swordsman crossing some mountains. Doesn’t take long until the action begins. They are attacked by some thieves. This scene is awesome, the music is really fast paced and fits well, the constant cuts to show some credits are really well made. The boss off the swordsman kills every thieve alone. I must say I hadn’t seen such well animated and interesting fight in a while, no matter how insignificant this fight is in the movie. And what’s better, the battles through out the movie only improve in quality.

So, the boy’s village has been destroyed for some purpose and assassins are now searching for the surviving boy.

Later, the boy, Kotarou, meets the other main character. Their relationship has a really subtle humor to it. Both Kotarou, the dog and the strange swordsman are very likable characters.

Again, doesn’t take long until one of the swordsman finds Kotarou and the strange swordsman is caught in between. At first, he’s just helping the kid against the royal guards because of their attitude, he doesn’t actually injure anyone of them. The killer then starts attacking no mattering who got in his way. The strange swordsman realizes the level of skill of the assassin and how big of a deal this kid must be. He tries to leave but, it seems he can’t. Another awesome action scene.

The strange swordsman accepts to protect and help Kotarou in exchange for a valuable item. I’m not going to further discuss the plot as to keep this review as much spoiler free as I can. Anyway, the plot development is pretty simple. That’s not the strong point of the movie. It’s just that as simple as it is, it’s really well done and the main characters all share some kind of chemistry, and it’s easy for the viewer to get attached to them and actually care for the battle’s results. The other characters, even if they have a really short screen time and are just not important to the main story, they are all still very believable with lots of hints to their purposes, personalities and past. Had this been a series or longer movie, the character development would have had the potential to be really good.

Production wise, as I’ve said, the animation is really good. All the fights are really fast paced, fluid, creative and full of details. The background art is really pretty too, no matter what kind of setting.

I also liked that the movie doesn’t use much CG and the little they use, is very well concealed.

To sum it up, I loved this movie. Although the plot is pretty simple and straight forward once it’s revealed, the characters, dialogs and some of best action scenes I’ve seen make it an awesome movie. It’s not the kind of movie that could win an Oscar (pretend they give Oscars to anime) but, it’s pure entertainment and got me from start to finish. Recommended to anyone who likes action movies.

• most non-annoying and cool kid I’ve seen in movie, that I’m remembering now;

Alibi Trap

Fujimaru stops Maya’s plans. It seems like she won’t underestimate her again. She thinks about how Fujimaru also ruined their plans two year ago. Maybe it’s something I’m already supposed to know and I forgot lol, or maybe something that Fujimaru without realizing it when helping Third I.

They are about to take the fake Tominaga for questioning when he suddenly bursts into blood. Although it was just poison, no Bloody Monday for now.

Hide’s family has been given a lot of strange screen time in this past chapters: I wonder if something will happen with him besides him quiting his involvement in this matter.

Meanwhile, Fujimaru, talking with Otoya about girls, lets him know that there was a girl similar to Orihara-sensei in the Bloody Monday video. Otoya makes Fujimaru see that alibi isn’t enough proof.

Knowing there’s a mole in Third I, they decide to investigate on their own.

Hueco Mundo Chapter
Restart!

It’s time to get back to Hueco Mundo to the good stuff. But, not so fast. This episode does an important job of letting us know everything we already know happened. And it takes all the time it needs. At least the side bars are pretty :p

I don’t really mind this summaries (I rewatched Grimjow’s fight a lot of times myself) but, I’m sure many people will get angry with this.

After the first 15 minutes of re-cap, the story develops a little.

Grimjow can’t accept defeat and kind of wants to get finished by Ichigo. Ichigo tries to show mercy but, Nnoitra appears and takes Grimjow out without hesitation.

Nnoitra clearly lets Ichigo know that there’s no way he can defeat him in his state.

Renji and Ishida continue fighting Aporro.

Mind’s Eye

Shao starts fighting for real. He can see the PSI around him, like the sharingan anf byakugan with the chakra in Naruto.

He takes advantage of his opponent’s insecurities and easily wins.

Meanwhile, Ageha seems to have been sighting using Rise. Nui, probably couldn’t keep up with him and started using some shadow psi technique. It seems that shadow was a "thing" that grows as the user takes hits and suffers. It becomes complete and a "monster" appears. It seems he copies the strength and speed of the attacker and multiplies it many times more.

At least Nui’s psi technique has something to do with his mentality.

The "thing" attacks Ageha head on and it looks like it has the advantage. Kyle interferes helping him. If one of them can keep the Nui’s program busy, the other can attack Nui.

I doubt all the Angry Goalie can do is fight physically, that huge mouth (I think it’s a mouth..) should have some purpose.

I’m not sure how the battle will progress. Ageha can’t use his Melchsee’s Door for now. But, Shao can come help now. I seriously doubt Nui can defeat all of them and he can’t escape using his "friend’s" techniques.

The Deathbringer Numbers

The three fraccion attack the Commander. He doesn’t kill them but, they are out of the fight now.

The girl fighting Hitsugaya, decides to get serious after witnessing their fraccion being defeated. (Interesting place for her number mark). She releases her sword and lands a heavy hit on Hitsugaya.

We learn that Stark is number 1. Can’t wait to see him fight Kyōraku and see what his bankai is like.

And it seems it’s time to shift back to Hueco Mundo. Ichigo vs Ulquiorra, next week.
