Guren finishes the selection and takes a lot of shinobi with cursed seals.
A bunch of the prisoners rebel and Guren kills them all. Kakashi’s new team, who’s falling them, notice the crystal technique.
Kakashi seems to recognize the technique and he’s worried.
Naruto’s filler training will be about combining techniques between himself and a toad. I think it was smart move. They are techniques that already exist and have been used in the anime and manga. This way, there’ll be no problems of them inventing a technique that will never be used again.
Jiraya resorts to some sync training, reminds me of Evangelion lol. Although it’s kind of stupid, I actually thought it was funny and enjoyed it.
Meanwhile, Sasuke is going to do some tests. This will probably lead into a manga scene.
I loved the new ED, the animation is great, it’s funny and fits really well with the music.

well, this episode is filler, not taken from the manga, it just has one or two scenes that belong to the manga.
so, if you want to start reading the manga, you should start with chapter 342 from volume 38. that’s the last chapter concerning Asuma’s death which leads into the next arc which you haven’t seen yet. so start there
