Aizen vs. Urahara

I really like Aizen, he’s one of my favorite characters from any serie or movie. The way he’s always on top of everything, confident and calm, makes him terrifying and seem unbeatable. He also has what I think is the scariest zanpakutou in Bleach.

Aizen, gives his mission as accomplished and prepares to leave. Tessai tries to stop with the most powerful kidou probably shown in Bleach until now. But, Aizen stops it without problem with a supposedly weaker kidou. Was he already that strong so soon? Or was he somehow using his zanpakutou? It’s hard to tell exactly how far he can go with his hypnosis ability.

Tessai transports everyone to the 12th’s barracks. He really is powerful. But, Aizen deceives everyone into thinking they were the culprits.

They are arrested and Yoruichi comes to save them. They decide to go to the real world to solve this safely.

The past arc ends. Back to the present, Shinji reflects on all that happened. All the Vizards head out for the payback. This really is one of my favorite Bleach moments, and the anime did it really well too. This arc has been really well done. I wonder if Aizen will finally look surprised and pissed for the first time, when he sees Hirako and the other still alive.

The filler next week seems to be simple two-episode plot. If there’ s just gonna be one-episode small arcs, then it probably means the fillers won’t take long.

Well, rejoice! The fillers are only gonna be two episodes long, the manga arc continues on episode 215.

Inside The Mist

Kabuto already had some backup plans in case the first failed.

Naruto, in the middle of the mist, Naruto experiences an illusion. It’s stupid, seems like a forced way of reminding us that the time left to save Sasuke is reaching it’s end. Anyway, there’s something wrong with the mist and they realize it’s probably some jutsu made by the Sanbi.

Tsunade sends Tenten, Lee and Ino to assist. Ino, Sakura and Hinata will be sealing the Sanbi. I though it should took a really powerful shinobi to be able to seal a bijuu.. Minato gave his life by using a forbidden jutsu.. the Akatsuki use a lot of powerful shinobi’s at the same time and it still takes some days.. It seems you also need a human container or something special, like Pain’s statue.. but, if Sakura, Ino and Hinata can do it.. lol

Not much more happened. Yuukimaru falls sick again. Naruto and Sakura talk about Sasuke.

Betrayal!
Aizen’s Secret Maneuvers

Interesting how Kyouraku always seems to be goofing off but is actually very observing and smart. It was already suspecting Aizen of something but, Aizen’s illusions are almost impossible to break through.

Meanwhile, in the battle field, they try to catch Kensei again, in a more powerful binding this time. Shinji’s "badass" commentary was really funny.

Anyway, no matter if they succeed, they are all in the process of turning hollow so, their loss is inevitable. Hiyori is the first and puts the group in chaos. Tousen use this moment to take out another captain. His bankai is really something, when he fought Zaraki, that was like the only guy his bankai wouldn’t be good matched with.

Anyway, Aizen shows himself. Shinji is the only one conscious for now. He tries to keep his cool in order to slow the hollowfication and manages to fight Tousen back for some time. Hiyori also tries to help him but, she’s quickly taken out. If he had been able to continue, maybe he had a chance at defeating Tousen and probably Gin. But it doesn’t matter the hollow ends up taking over.

Aizen prepares to kill them. It seems his interest was just to see some first test samples and then dispose of them. The loss in Soul Society’s powers would also help him and his companions achieve higher ranking positions.

Urahara and Tessai finally arrive and manage to stop Aizen for now.

How will things go now? Another well done episode. Something not so good is the fact that a filler arc has kind of been announced.. supposed to start after this arc ends.. hope it’s nothing long..

Kabuto has supposedly died, Asaga is falling to his death away from everyone, Oboro is about to die too and Ageha is seconds away from being blown up. Only Amamiya isn’t in "fatal" situation yet, I suppose Shinner will kill her too.

I though Ageha, with all the rage would release some higher power or something. In situations like this in shounen, a power up or unexpected friends arriving are the most usual plot twists but, Psyren did a good job of surprising us because of what it made us think we knew about the plot. Anyway, something powerful appears. Powerful enough to fight with the star commanders (I hope). The Elmore kids (not really kids anymore) are back. After all this years and living in Psyren’s atmosphere, no wonder they have gotten really powerful.

I have no idea how they survived but, that doesn’t matter for now. Can they really fight with Shinner? He looked surprised to see them and amazed with their power, maybe they really can defeat him. Or at least retreat for now. I doubt Dholaki will be a problem.

Cool turn of events, couldn’t have expected it knowing the kids were dead. They look really cool, a little too much taking in consideration they are living in a post-apocalyptic world, anyway, Marie surprised me the most. I if I had to guess, I would say Fuu would be the hot one, not Marie. Anyway, she looks really determined on revenge so, Elmore probably still died but, maybe at the hands of the W.I.S.E. instead of plane crash.

Hiyori dies?
The Beginning of Tragedy

Soul Society notices the loss of Kensei and his vice-captain’s reiatsu and organizes a captain party to go investigate.

All the captains involved are, of course, the same that become Vizards in the future. At first, you can be a little unsure if it’s really gonna happen now but, as soon as Urahara and Tessai go to join them, it’s pretty obvious that whatever separated all of them from Soul Society is gonna happen now.

Once they arrive, they notice Kensei has somehow turned hollow. They don’t want to harm him but, he’s really powerful and when his lieutenant joins the battle, things become really complicated.

They are being defeated but, Urahara is coming with backup. How will things go from here?

Everything was very well done. The manga was adapted really well. The animation quality was pretty good.

A Furious Bijuu

The show starts off with the first ever appearance of the Deidara/Tobi Akatuki duo. Although filler, this scene captured the nature of their relation really well. It was really funny.

They are searching for the Sanbi but, they have no idea where it is. It also doesn’t look like they are near the others. It would be interesting to have a fight break out between Konoha, Akatsuki and Orochimaru at the same time.

The lake creature is also confirmed to be the Sanbi. I think Orochimaru’s plan might be to make Yuukimaru a jinchuriki for the Sanbi.

Anyway, Yuukimaru fails to control it and Guren has to fight it. She manages to immobilize him.

I’m not sure how Kashimoto envisioned the Sanbi (I think it’s supposed to be half turtle and half shark), because not much of it was shown in the manga. It still looks good in the anime.

Although the animation and art were average, it was well done.

The Sanbi ends up making a huge mess in the see. Not sure of what happened to Naruto and Gozu. It seems the Sanbi rests in another dimension or something, they could have been taken there because of the sea swirl leading to the "portal".

Although not perfect, I really liked this episode, maybe my favorite from the arc yet.

Muguruma’s 9th Division
Sets Out

The pendulum swings 9 years forward, when the incident that shaped everything happened.

The first attacks’ only evidence is people’s cloths being left behind. So Soul Society concludes something must be causing people to be unable to maintain their human form and vanishing.

It was very cool seeing Kensei’s shikai animated. Also cool to see how Hisagi came to want to be a shinigami and why he uses a 69 tattoo. But, it still doesn’t make sense why Kensei used it lol

The scene between Mayuri, Akon and Hiyori was hilarious, not sure if this was in the manga though.

Anyway, Kensei finds that the previous sent team as "died" to and decides to set camp for the night.

Then, he’s attacked to. He can’t see the attacker because everyone gets covered in darkness and can’t feel the fatal attack coming. Still, after taking the hit, Kensei sees his attacker. Who might it be?

I really like this arc. One of my favorite parts of Bleach was all that mystery side-story that happened while Ichigo was invading Soul Society for the first time. This is just like that time. Not much mystery for me now, because I’ve already read the manga, still, it’s really enjoyable.

I’m expecting an awesome next episode..

The Lust 5

Ulquiorra quickly regenerates his arm. It seems he chose to focus is power on defense rather than offense. Then, he creates a spear that devastates anything it touches. He can make how many he likes. "Ichigo" confronts him head on and gras the spear destroying it’s power, I think this alone is enough states how powerful he has become. Anyway, using sonido he closes in on Ulquiorra and slashes him pretty bad.

Ulquiorra admits he’s finished. "Ichigo" doesn’t even hesitate before holding Ulquiorra’s head and preparing to give him a point blank cero. If he’s that heartless, then he’s really not Ichigo, and his friends could be next. Ulquiorra accepts his death and "Kurozaki" fires.

Ulquiorra’s last words made me want him to live. It kind of deepened his character, did he live only to serve Aizen, without any personal goal? I hope he survives in some way.

Now, has Ichigo become the most powerful being on Bleach? Is he still able to do the Espada sword releases? After all, he still has Zangetsu with him.

Well, I’m not sure how Ichigo now stands in terms of strength. Could he be stronger than anyone? Will Aizen or Soul Society have to fight him?

I’m really curious to see what will happen now, although we will probably shift focus onto the real world again in the next chapter.
