Top Of The World

Nagato continues his story. After his first "pain" he wandered around starving with a dog who found him. He ended up meeting Konan who helped him and introduced him to Yahiko. They all became friends.

Later, they happen to be near the 3 Sanin when they fought Hanzo. Tiny, the dog, dies as a result of that, it’s the second "pain". Yahiko enraged with war rises his dream into being a god, probably so he could stop war or whatever.

Nagato, seeing his determination, started following that dream too.

The next chapter seems to be about the greatest "pain". Will we finally see Yahiko’s "death"? In the end of this chapter, Yahiko seemed almost evil, the way I would imagine Nagato when he finally decided to be like this.

At first, I was thinking that Maybe Nagato killed Yahiko, because Yahiko wouldn’t approve of Nagato’s extreme methods. Killing his closest friend.. that could be his bigger "pain". But, I’m not so sure anymore, it will probably be something else.

Azul-Blood Splash

It seems things aren’t running very good on the fake Karakura Town. Taking aside Kyourako, everyone is doing pretty bad. Really bad, a little to much, I had been specially surprised with Hitsugaya for some time now, I mean, a bankai that can’t ever come close to a normal espada?

Well, I should have suspected that something wasn’t right but, would anyone think it’s normal for them to come fight Aizen and not release the limits?? lol ok, so they really came with the limit off already.. anyway, they are in a really serious situation now.

Sui Fong admits defeat without Barragan even having to get his zanpakutou.

Halibel decides to finish the fight (for the 3rd time, I think) and releases her zanpakutou, which means a bigger sword and smaller clothes (I’m not sure they are really "clothes" anymore).

Hitsugaya thinks about her resurrection, and how he must not underestimate her. What? It almost makes it seem like he has been pretending and still has some big trump up his sleeve. I mean, he’s losing with her normal form and she releases, I think he should have been more worried.

Anyway, she takes him out instantly, not sure if it was speed or some kind of power. Anyway, it doesn’t seem like Hitsugaya can do anything about this. And really, I think he’s going to die.. We’re in the end battle after all. I just wasn’t expecting him to be the first.

The Four Shinigami

Barragan takes the leader seat among the arrancar. He decides to destroy the pillars and invade the real Karakura Town right now.

So, the fights for the pillars are going to start. The pair-ups are interesting and well portrayed from the manga.

Even though some parts were delayed, there was nothing much overall, and it’s probably best this way so a fight can go for an entire episode without interruption. The animation was good too.

The next episode is going to be about Ayasegawa’s fight.

Narukari

Hibiki and Ririsa go on a mountain patrol along with another Kiri-Ishi. This Kiri-Ishi, Shachina, is way stronger than them. He’s one of their teachers.

They end up in eating at a place. Suddenly, Shachina notices something and calls them. He quickly focus away from the alcohol.

When they finally arrive to where Shachina was leading them, they notice they are surrounded by Akatsuki.

Narukari can’t be saved, the only option is to kill them. In the fight they notice the dog from the old man was infected. Hibiki has to kill him anyway.

This episode was basically a lecture on how hard their job can be. If humans or anything becomes infected and is incurable.. they have to kill it without flinching.

The action wasn’t very good. This manga isn’t very interesting for now, I’m waiting for the story to develop to really see where this can go.

Allen dreams of Mana. For a second there I though the 14th was the one who woke up while Allen was sleeping. Lenalee was standing beside him, cute as always. Link yells at her for sleeping there in such an "immodest state". Why didn’t Lavi find her first? lol

After the funny part, Lenalee asks Allen if there was something up with him in his sleep or when he woke up. She noticed some differences, now I really think the 14th was the one present when Allen first got up.

Meanwhile, the American Branch chief arrives unexpectedly. I’m not sure who Bak-chan is anymore but, anyway, Renee’s coming probably isn’t good. She also brought two guards from Crow. Not sure if they are the same two that appeared before.

Cool chapter, funny. A new arc is beginning, can’t really predict much about it, although it reminds me of when Link and his "boss" first appeared

The Heretic City

This episode summarizes the events that happened during Leto’s arc all in one episode.

This is really not one of Fullmetal’s best arcs, although still good enough for a start. Anyway, the story happened much like the first season. Some subtle changes.

Even though this was the most boring episode of the three, it was still entertaining with lots of good comedy. The animation was good, although this episode didn’t have much action to show it.

Lust and Gluttony’s first appearance was well done. I really don’t remember Lust’s voice very well, or this one is just to similar but, Gluttony’s voice feels weird. Along with Mustang, they are the only to that still make a difference for me, of course I’ll eventually get used to it.

The series continues following the first arcs of the manga, next is Tucker’s arc. This will probably also only last for one episode. I’ll probably enjoy the next episode as much as this, being that this story lines don’t really mean much once you’ve watched them once. Anyway, for a story being retold, it’s damn well well made.

The Battle Over the Barrier

The usual intro before the OP starts was well done with style.

Guren and Kabuto prepare for one last try into stopping the barrier jutsu before using Yuukimaru. A fight breaks out between Guren, Tenten and Lee. It was really well animated. I was expecting this episode to be crap really, I’m surprised in a good way. The art was good too.

No matter, the Sanbi ends up breaking the barrier himself, too bad this moment had crappy animation. Although the Sanbi jumping and diving like a dolphin gave a good lol. Tobi witnesses this and the Akatsuki are going to become part of this for real.

Meanwhile, the Sanbi shows a bit of his power putting almost everyone temporarily down. He then goes to do something to Guren who can’t defend herself. Yuukimaru intervenes and starts unleashing his power on his own. I’m not sure Kabuto wanted it like this on purpose but, the truth is that for Yuukimaru to be able to control the Sanbi it has to be something he wants to do and not something forced on him with drugs.

I enjoyed this episode a lot, I hope it turns better now that Yuukimaru and the Akatsuki are going to play a more active role.

Root

The chapter continues with Ageha’s part of the story. It’s all very funny, there seems to be a common interest between Marie and Ageha, although this kind of things almost never develop anyway in shounen.

When they arrive at the Root, we learn why no Tavoo can follow them. They are teletransported inside, which means, yes.. Lan is still alive, as are some other people.

It seems like Ageha can tell them everything now, because it already happened, and Nemesis Q won’t interrupt.

Anyway, they meet Elmore who indirectly survived because of Ageha’s attempt in the airport.

Cool chapter, can’t wait for the next one, we’ll probably now about what happened to Ageha and the others now. Maybe they were the ones who went to declaration of war? If they almost killed Dholaki in the future, imagine in the past were he is much weaker.. I don’t think that was it. Anyway, Oboro and Asaga.. if they disappear here, they won’t comeback to the present.
