So, the shinigami aren’t losing that badly. Hitsugaya was just caught off guard and he’s still alright. Now the problem lies with Barragan. His zanpakutou can make things get old.. not sure exactly how it works but, Sui Fong can’t use her physical abilities like that. To worsen things, he releases his zanpakutou.
Not sure how his power will even evolve now. Well, if Sui Fong goes bankai and keeps her power a mystery (instead of telling their opponents right off like they normally do..) maybe she will have a chance to hit.
The chapter was short but nice. Hitsugaya and Genryūsai looked really cool.
We also learn that the 10 espadas are supposed to represent each one an aspect of death. Although it doesn’t really mean much, they just try to see which one of them would best fit rage, then loneliness.. etc. It doesn’t really mean that they have to be 100% like that, after all Espadas could change at any moment.
