Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 109

Counterattack of the Curse Mark

Naruto Shippuuden 109

This episode starts strangely. It’s like the the shots vary from some strange well animated art style to the 9-year-old’s drawings from last episode. It’s like lazily drawn art well animated.. lol

Well, "this can actually be good, maybe it’s just a different art and I’ll get used" but then, all kinds of fucked up shit starts happening, like girl-Sai running cartoon style through the trees. Then, there’s actually some cool shots with Kabuto and, about that fight that I was afraid this episode could ruin.. no problem, it didn’t happen, they skipped it.. Even though Lee, Tenten and Kiba lost, they are still alive and well.

So, the bad guys go to fight Kakashi, Shino and the strangely-drawn Yamato (isn’t it weird that Yamato is always the one most notably suffers from animation? he’s the one who looks worse when it goes down and the one who looks better when it goes up..) and an actually enjoyable fight breaks out. It even had some stylish scenes, still can’t understand if I liked or disliked the animation lol.

Anyway, Yuukimaru, who was taken from Sai by the powered up evil shinobi that manage to leave everyone alive, takes a lot of drugs and goes super-sayan, with blank eyes and all.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode. It was entertaining in a strange way. The next one seems more normal on the art but, still bad. It seems Tsunade sent her summon to help.
