Bleach 220

Bleach starts once again with a quick before OP Bleach introduction, no harm there. Anyway, Yumichika is stopped by the other two. They can’t defeat someone Madarame couldn’t. Madarame tries to fight some more but, there’s nothing he can do. Poww knows on some level that he still has a hidden power (bankai) but, Ikkaku doesn’t use it. Komamura saves him just in the nick of time, he and Tetsuzaemon stop Karakura Town from returning due to the broken pillar.

Komamura ends up releasing his bankai and completely out powering Poww’s released form. I don’t really like Poww’s resurrection but, his transformation is really cool. Tetsuzaemon gives a very important speech to Madarame. After all, he put his pride first, and let the pillar be destroyed when he still had a chance of defeating Poww. This can’t happen. He’s trading the future of all of them for his pride.

Bleach 220

The episode ends with Barragan really pissed at his Fraccion. The pillars fights are over now, things are going to move to the main battle.

The corresponding manga chapter gave me much more of an impact at the time, still this episode was well done. Komamura went full power with much delay and dealt with the current problem quickly. Overall, good episode.

Bleach 220

The next episode doesn’t seem very fight oriented. It will probably just set things up for the next fights. The main battles are going to start but, for now the focus will probably be on those two Fraccion from the preview fighting the Vice-Captains, just like in the manga.
