Berserk - Chapter 304

Berserk 304

Well, not really sure what happened. Zodd attacks Skull to save Griffith but, Skull dodges. If he had time to strike Griffith I’m not sure. I mean, I think he stroke him but, I’m not sure how exactly. He seems his sword warped space or something like that.

Griffith mentions that his slash, together with the "twice-spanned rebirth" opened the door. The door to Ganishka’s insides?

Not sure of what happens next too lol but, it seems Ganishka starts emitting a lot of light, like it’s going to blow up or something.

The chapter reads "That light envelops the world, and the New World appears!". I have no idea if this is just metaphorically speaking, like Ganishka is now dead and so the New World ruled by Griffith can start, or if it’s literally going to make a physical difference in the land and it’s people, like blowing up lol.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Episode 8

Research Laboratory 5

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 8

Well, this episode finally starts this series for real. Everything has been put behind and the story-line totally diverges from the first season, following the manga.

So, Al and Ed meet the two guardians of Laboratory 5, they are both souls affixed to armor. Ed has a hard time fighting, his opponent is really strong and more, Ed’s arm is in no shape due to Winry forgetting a screw. Meanwhile, Al is struggling with Barry’s theory that he never actually existed as a human. Even though it’s a little far fetched and Barry tells it as the truth even if has no proof whatsoever, it’s normal that Al gets some doubt. Specially since Ed mentioned wanting to ask him something but was too scared.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 8

Ed manags to win the fight but, those "two" appear again and prevent 48 from telling him anything. They mention wanting Ed alive for some reason and just put him out and destroy the Laboratory. The scene was very well made. I always liked this in Fullmetal’s manga, how different characters are put against each other and how you feel pity even though it was a murderer that just died. There’s really no absolute villains in this series, you always end up understanding to a certain extent what drives some characters. This also happened with Greed in the original anime but, that part two was kind of based on the manga. Meanwhile, Mustang’s rise to Central seems about to happen. Kimblee is also shown again, and the Ishbal War comes to mind once again.

Very nice episode. And it’s seriously only going to get better from now on, I’m really excited, hope series like Gantz and Berserk would get some new anime 100% true to the manga. The animation also took a little upgrade from the last episode, still nothing as great as episode 5.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 8

The next episode will be about Ed, Al and Winry solving Al’s issue. It’ll be a more dramatic episode. Can’t wait for Lin to appear, probably my favorite character.

Berserk 303

Ganishka’s past was actually pretty interesting. I love this kind of stories on Berserk, where characters are forced into doing horrible things, the art and dark ambient are also excellent. Anyway, since he was little, he had his mother as his enemy. He ends being able to kill her and his brother, who she wanted to make king.

Later, he was always fighting for his survival in the middle of all the royalty. He manages to make his way to the throne by helping kill his own father. He has known nothing but fear since he was born.

As he becomes king, he’s forced into battle with other nations. He becomes to accustomed to it. It’s like he fears that someone might come and take him down so, he wants to conquer the whole world. Also, he gets a wife and son but, he fears his own family, just like his family feared him.

Berserk 303

Later in time, in a banquet, his son and some guards betray and try to kill him, staging a coup d’etat. Just before dying, he grabs the odd stone that was given to him at some point.

Berserk 303

So, that’s when he first used the Behelit. Back to the present, he’s engulfed by the light coming from the Hawk. It’s like he’s just waiting for salvation (death). And, as Griffith approaches, out of nowhere, the Skull Knight appears. Griffith and Zodd are both surprised. There’s no time to react and Skull slashes down his sword through Griffith.

Berserk 303

Now, that was a really unforeseen twist. I doubt Skull can just have killed Griffith like that, still, if he somehow hurt him, it will probably change the course of this whole battle against Ganishka. And I hope Skull manages to escape. If he gets killed here, Guts forces are like cut in half almost, with one of his strongest allies gone.

RideBack - Episode 10

Monster Of The War

RideBack 10

So, Tamayo’s brother was the one helping the reporter. It’s good to finally see him take some action against Romanov. Also, Okkakura will be helping Kiefer as part of their deal, things are getting interesting. Kiefer mentions Rin realizing she can only reach her true potential on a RideBack amidst the fire and bullets. That’s probably why Rin decided to not ride again, makes sense now.

Meanwhile, Rin and the others are going to meet after the demonstration against the GGP. In there, Suzuri is mistaken for Rin. Because of the misunderstanding, she ends up being chased by white rides. It ends badly. Suzuri is dead.

RideBack 10

The new RideBack Romanov got is called Grimoire. It’s supposedly so good that it won’t matter who it is put up against. The terrorists are going to create a temporary failure on the GGP’s system so they can invade the place. It’s probably going to be the final attempt at bringing the GGP down.

I was guessing something had to happen for Rin to get on Fuego again. Maybe Suzuri’s deaht will do this. The next episode seems like a build up about Suzuri’s death and how it will make some characters develop. I think it will end with Rin deciding to ride again.

RideBack 10

Nice episode, everything is coming together nicely and feels very real.

Berserk 302

Not really sure how I managed to miss Berserk for three whole issues.. But, anyway, I finally noticed it had come back from the break, yay!

Not matter what, Ganishka looks just too colossal. It’s not even the thing you can even think of trying to go against once you see it’s true form, or, at least, how much of it is possible to see at a time. Still, having Griffith there, makes you know it’s all going to be fine. Amidst all the "wow"s, Griffith takes flight aboard Nosferatu Zodd confidently.

He rises above Ganishka and lands on Ganishka’s "zenith". It seems the next chapter will be about the emperor. Not sure what to expect, anyway, I’m reading it next lol.

Berserk 302

Berserk was one of my all time favorites when I read it for the first time, before arriving to the currently being released chapters. Having to read it with such gaps takes a lot from it in my opinion. That’s probably why I don’t enjoy it as much now (not that I don’t enjoy it a lot still).

Berserk 302

I think the same way of Gantz, while Naruto and Bleach are mangas that, as I see it, work perfectly as a chapter per week, not that I wouldn’t enjoy being able to read it all through but, it doesn’t really make a big difference. They work well as small chapters. With Berserk, I feel like I can’t enjoy the whole greatness and epic"ness" (not sure I can say that lol) of it having to read it like this.

Berserk 302

Anyway, glad it’s back into serialization. By the way, beautiful art with lots of big shots.

RideBack 9

Sorry about this show, I don’t really know why I just couldn’t continue to blog it sooner, it’s like I never had time and I would blog the other so they wouldn’t get late too. Anyway, I was really liking this show, time to finish it.

After his failure, Romanov decides to go extreme. He imposes a state of emergency. Meanwhile, Okkakura goes to make a deal with Kiefer, something related to Rin. Rin decides to leave RideBacks behind and says goodbye to Fuego. I didn’t think her reasoning really made sense but, anyway, she seems determined on her decision but, it wouldn’t be the first time if she ends up getting on a RideBack again.

RideBack 9

People everywhere are showing discontent for GGP’s decision to go on Emergency State and confiscate all RideBacks. Tamayo and the club will also be doing something related to this, not sure what. Romanov also gets some new kind of weapon, probably a new RideBack.

Nice episode, not sure how things will progress from here but, it’s definitely interesting.

RideBack 9

The preview didn’t show much action. I guess the next episode will be more about building up the situation and things will only start happening in episode 11.

Psyren - Chapter 71

S.O.S.

Psyren 71

Ageha and the others go enjoy life outside for a little while. They think about the W.I.S.E., they are certainly going to respond in some way to their "declaration of war".

The chapter was light and funny for the most part but, as night moves in and the chapter is about to end, Nemesis Q appears to Ageha and Amamiya,

He’s is all torn up, with huge bits missing from his body. The voice, that supposedly was masked before, comes through perfectly clear now. They realize that the psychier that created Nemesis Q is the same woman who takes the initial Psyren call.

Psyren 71

Anyway, she wants their help, it seems she’s being chased by someone (hope it’s not star commanders).

Psyren 71

So, who is this person? A lone survivor that didn’t join or knew about Root? Well, if she’s being chased by star commanders, there’s nothing Ageha can do, maybe we will let the children know? I doubt Nemesis would allow it, if he wanted he could have already shown himself to the Root.

Naruto Shippuuden - Episode 110

Memory of Guilt

Naruto Shippuuden 110

Well, as I some weeks ago predicted (not bragging lol) the filler-filled-Sanbi-arc will be ending with episode 112 titled, "The Place To Return To". After that, it’s time for good manga based episodes and with not other than the "Hunt For Itachi" arc. Believe me, things will get all levels of awesomeness. I doubt the animators won’t be doing at least one awesome episode in this arc, because it really will be awesome and one of the highlights of the series, one everyone has been waiting for since episode 3 or something of the first Naruto series. With that over, lets move on to this actual episode.

Katsuyu, also known as The Slug, comes and gives chakra to the sealing team. Renji (how the hell does he know about that?) forces Yuukimaru to his max but, Naruto and Guren go there to save him. Tears and plot twist happen, more on that later.

Naruto Shippuuden 110

Kakashi and the others keep fighting. It’s kind of stupid how Yamato was never in danger, he just need to use some water element jutsu. As for Kakashi, not much trouble. And Shino.. well no idea why they made him fight at close range (again) or why the Rubber-guy has a third arm coming from that place, anyway, their fight included a lot of science regarding mucous, not really interested in discussing the awesomeness of that..

So, Naruto/Guren/Yuukimaru was all very boring. Still, we learn that Kabuto was posing as Renji. Naruto already had his share of Kabuto, he’s pretty pissed and the final scene looks cool, too bad the preview doesn’t seem like much.

Naruto Shippuuden 110

Production wise, the episode maintains last week’s tendency to be bad, so bad that some rare times it turns good someway I don’t fully understand (or maybe it’s just me). Overall, average episode, kind of boring.
