The Beasts of Dublith

Despite what happened, Izumi must follow her beliefs and "expels" Al and Ed from being her students because of them working for the military and everything. Still, they stay friends. They are now going to try and help Al regain his memories, because he has seen more of the truth than them, so, there may be some info in there.

Anyway, Al gets kidnapped by Greed and his chimera’s who want him to tell them the secret to transmuting a soul. Well, I was a little worried about my favorite character feeling weird with his new seiyuu or not being up to the original. Well, nothing to worry about, I loved his voice, his attitude, his animation. Really, Greed continues as my favorite character for this part of the story.

So, Ed goes to save him and ends up in a fight with Greed. He figures out how to remove his armor but, he’s already too wounded to fight straight. Izumi appears and changes the odds. Now, I don’t remember very well what will happen anymore, I guess Greed will just leave them and end up confronted with Bradley.

The episode was AWESOME. Scar’s scene was really well made, and it’s animation allowed us to quickly foretell the rest of the episode’s quality. Ed and Greed’s fight was really cool and well done too. Not sure it’s better than on the original anime in terms of the choreography but, the production was higher.

Really looking forward to the next episode. I’m expecting more high level fights and really dramatic episode. There’s also Lin, the other favorite, who should appear soon. Loving the series.

The Devil Lord Of The 6th Heaven

Quite a short chapter. Toyohisa wakes up to find the mysterious girl’s "friend". His instinct are set on alert and when the guy standing in front of him claims to be Nobunaga, he attacks him. Nobunaga was a "legendary" figure, long dead in Toyohisa’s time. Anyway, the fight is stopped by the girl’s arrival.

She immediatly breaks the fight by "bullying" them lol. She quickly puts Nobunaga preparing the dinner. She then puts Toyohisa helping too. This scene was really funny, I like the "dominant-female" lol

So, for now, the characters and their relationship is turning quite interesting and funny. As for the plot, still no clues but, there’s big potential. Also knowing it came from Hellsing’s mangaka, I’m really looking forward to this series, too bad the next chapter is only coming out July 30th, and with this one being so short.. :(

Zabuza’s Blade

Sasuke gets his first recruit, who accepts to follow him if he helps him get Zabuza’s sword.

So, the first scene was really well done, with all the tension from the manga well portrayed. Suigetsu seems odd at first, his clothes and hair color don’t match well with my perception of him in the manga lol, I’ll just have to get used.

There was a lot of filler. Suigetsu didn’t just get the sword from Zabuza’s grave like in the manga. I remember the manga having much more power when they first showed Zabuza’s grave again, along with the abandoned sword. Anyway, the filler between Sasuke and Suigetsu was cool and funny. Even though most of the episode had crappy animation, the drama and "acting" parts were all well done and very detailed.

Anyway, they have to go to this castle and get the sword from a guy who took it. There’s an attack on that castle and Sasuke and Suigetsu infiltrate it in the middle. Sasuke makes a bet with Suigetsu. I think this was kind of off from Sasuke’s personality but, at the same time, he made Suigetsu promise not to kill anyone. Anyway, we’re told later that it was to test him.. although they weren’t any real opponents, doesn’t make much sense of Sasuke to test him this way.

Well, the episode’s animation was so so, the characters had nice details when interacting with each other. The fighting was crap, even thought it was fluid. The filler managed to stay relatively well within the series reality. The comedy was good. Entertaining episode, I just hope the next ones don’t drag the plot much.

Superchunky From Hell

For starts, loved the color cover, awesome art, very cool.

So, Stark is amazed with Ukitake’s attack, it seems it was a Cero. He makes Ukitake use 2 more times and figures it out. Ukitake’s zanpakutou can absorb an attack and shot it right back through the other sword. That’s why the swords are connected.

Ukitake says there’s no problem in joining since the other two also joined together to fight. And what was that about Kyoraku’s bankai shouldn’t be seen by everyone there?

Anyway, Starks decides to test a little more and decides to shot 1000 ceros. Upon hearing this, Kyoraku stops him from doing it with another "cheap" shot. Stark is surprised at him, I think for so quick to finish the fight in a not so fair way. But, Kyoraku has to do what he has to do for the best of the world.

But, suddenly, they are interrupted by a garganta opening. Kyoraku and Ukitake are afraid that someone strong enough to backup the Espadas could be coming, they are already filled as they are.

And surprise, Wonderweiss appears and he brought something along with him. Well, in it first appeared, I was thinking it was the Vizards, although it would be too soon for their appearance. Now, well, no idea what that monster is. Maybe it’s an higher level hollow than a menos, something really strong. At least, it shouldn’t be Yammi lol.

I think we have this and maybe another fight to finish. And by finish I mean that it will end in a cliffhanger and then, we’ll be back to Hueco Mundo to see they fight Yammi. And only after that we’ll see how all this fights in Karakura end. And I’m guessing it will be better for the bad guys, and then the Vizards will appear. Just a guess.

Can’t wait to see what Wonderweiss and the monster will do.

The Night Before The 5 Kages Meet

Tobi is waiting for Sasuke. Not sure it matters but, he’s either using some gengutsu to appear or a technique similar to Kakashi’s. Anyway, awesome encounter. Tobi explains to Sasuke what Killerbee did and how Sasuke failed to capture the real 8 tails. He now wants him for another job since he’s in debt to Akatsuki. Sasuke’s first actions are to fight him but, once again, he can’t touch him.

I would say that Tobi, has the older Uchiha, has mastered everything there is too about the mangekyou. He can probably use some power related to Kakashi’s and send parts of his body to other dimensions or stuff like that, anyway, Zetsu appears and explains to Sasuke what happened to Konoha. He explains how it was almost destroyed and how Naruto defeated Pain, he states that he’s probably stronger than Sasuke right now. Sasuke doesn’t seem worried.

Knowing about the Kage meeting, and wanting revenge on Danzo, he decides to go there and.. kill all the kages.. wft? Has he gone mad? He’s against the whole village system? I understand Tobi wanting it, so he can "conquer" the world but, Sasuke? Why? And are they really strong to take all 5 kages?

At least, I think I’ve figured part of how Tobi managed to live for so long. Nagato has probably used his rinnegan to revive him or something. What’s this about him expecting Sasuke to be more powerful than Nagato. Can the sharingan really surpass the rinnegan? And what’s this moon eye plan? Things are really interesting and mysterious right now.

Also, Sasuke, even though his mind change was too quick and illogic, is going to assassinate the kages. And as I expected, Gaara appears. He seems really older. He, Temari and Kankurou should be really strong now. Along with the other kages and bodyguards, not sure Sasuke will have is will.

Still, maybe Sasuke is just considering it and will maybe kill Zetsu (half of him lol). He says he’s been wanting to try some new sharingan jutsu. And about Zetsu, we finally so something more of him, although it’s all still a mystery.

Messy chapter but, really powered up the story-line. Now Naruto will go after Akatsuki with the Cloud shinobi. Can’t wait to read more

All Vice-Captains Annihilated!
The Terrifying Demonic Beast

So, Allon is created and instantly shows his power. There’s no way they stand a chance. Matsumoto is defeated right away although with no impact, her wound was covered up (censored). Like "she’s injured from her ribs to her stomach" but, her skin only looks grasped. Anyway, he attack Hinamori too and puts them both close to death with one attack.

Kira and Hisagi intervene. Kira tries to heal the girls but, Hisagi doesn’t last long. As he’s about to be defeated, Tetsuzaemon intervenes too and is quickly defeated (not even sure he survived). I really like Allon, everything in him is disgusting, his unproportional shape, the way his body moves in all kinds of awkward ways. He’s really the unbeatable monster that makes everyone feel hopeless.

The Captain Commander is forced to intervene too. Of course, not matter how strong Allon is, a captain is a captain. But, has he really defeated him? lol

Good episode overall. The animation wasn’t great but, served it’s purpose. The pace was also good, I remember this scenes taking a couple chapters in the manga. Still, the sensoring ruined much of it, I hope future episodes aren’t as heavely cut as this one was.

One Is All
All Is One

The brothers go meet their master. It’s a crazy reunion, very funny. Their master is very sick and she doesn’t know yet they have tried to revive their mother, as they don’t know what happened with her son.

The flashback on the island was quick and to the point, still well done. The whole episode had nice animation.

Izumi suspects Ed and Al and finds out that they committed the taboo. She tells them her story too of how she tried to revive her child and lost some internal organs, being the reason why she’s "sick".

The episode was really good, very funny and dramatic, even though the story line didn’t advance much.

Next episode will introduce Greed. One of my favorite characters lol. This episode will probably have some real action and reveal some more misteries. I guess the "Fuhrer" scene will be the episode after and that Lin will appear after that in episode 15, can’t wait.

The Eye The Hawk

Sasuke and Orochimaru finish it, and some of Orochimaru’s past is shown. The animation looked a little better than last’s, still bad.

The anime added some filler to the flashbacks but, nothing too much, it complemented everything well. All of this doesn’t really show Orochimaru’s development totally but, still manages to show us how he was just a normal child and how his quest for power ended up making him who he his today.

Orochimaru’s obsession with eternal life, Itachi, the sharingan, mastering all jutsu, how he lost his hand and left the Akatsuki. Everything is explained, to some extent, in this episode. All flashbacks were down anew, even the ones present in the first series. I think the scene where Orochimaru tries to take Itachi is badly done. The manga version was really powerful, you really felt Orochimaru’s desperation before Itachi’s sharingan, how much he feared and wanted it. In this episode.. Itachi’s line was really plain in comparison.

So, Orochimaru tries to take Sasuke but, the sharingan surprises Orochimaru yet again. Sasuke manages to absorb Orochimaru instead. Not sure if this means he has gained his knowledge and jutsus. Anyway, Kabuto is shocked, all his "dreams" (lol) and whatever are crushed now. Although that will be good for him as a character but, I won’t spoil it.

So, Sasuke has won. He’s really powerful now, he heads out, what’s his plan for the future? The next episode will be about Suigetsu. We will learn a little more about what Orochimaru’s secret bases and stuff like that hold.
