Bleach - Episode 227
Wonderful Error
This episode starts surprisingly well. I had no idea what kind of episode it would be with the "Wonderful Error" title. I though it would just be another silly filler where a new bad guy appears. I’m happy that the creators decided to do something different.
It seems the next couple of episodes will show how Bleach is in summer time too lol. Anyway, this episode is much like a slice of life or drama series. It’s really well done and written. The art is also amazing.
Basically, this story takes place, way back, even before the first episode. Kurosaki and Sado hadn’t even met their other shcool mates. It’s really funny, I’m impressed they captured so well the manga’s original humor. This seems much like one of the firs episodes, without all the hollow fighting. I really wouldn’t mind more of this episode’s. The stupid plot about Kurosaki and Sado’s rumors of being bullies and stuff like that is really funny. This episode really ties everything up together, even though unnecessary, it’s really entertaining. Would have been a nice first episode to the series.
Meanwhile, in Soul Society, Rukia is stationed in Karakura Town and Renji becomes Vice-Captain. The others are just living their normal lives and getting drunk lol. Rukia and Renji’s relationship is nicely developed here. Overall, though, it follows Mizuiro Kojima as the main character (I think), I’m interested to see how this will end up. Now that I think about it, Mizuiro’s personality really seems to hold some problem, like he’s detached from reality. (there’s also an omake about him)
Loved the episode, ending just as the first started. I would like it to continue.. but, next week seems to be in no way related to this, Ichigo will have already become a shinigami, and everyone is going to the beach lol, the preview was funny, I’m looking forward to the episode. Never though I would like this fillers so much.

The zanpaktou arc will start at episode 230. Interesting, masashi kudo is the specialist animator of that episode and it will be his first time too. Kudo works for the character design for bleach and works closely with Kubo. Episode 230 will be interesting to see.
