CANAAN - Episode 2
A Cruel Game
So, Cummings and Liang Q come to save Alphard. We learn that those two girls are sisters and that Alphard is the leader of the Hebi. The action scene was awesome, really like those close personal fights and the way Alphard dodges bullets and everything. Great intro to the episode.
As for this Hebi. It seems they are targeting Canaan. As for Canaan, I’m not sure she really has an higher purpose, she seems just like a contract assassin and not even her employers, at least Natsume, like her much. They are also trying to bring Alphard down.
Then, we go back to the journalists, Maria and Minoru, who are the funniest characters right now, my favorites two. In the apartment, Minoru is, like anyone would be, very surprised seeing the photos of the assassin girl in action, when his companion just casually gives him some more photos of her together with the assassin lol Learning so, Minoru asks Maria about Canaan.
About Maria, she’s the only survivor from a virus released by a terrorist group. Not sure how that virus is involved with the Hebi or Canaan’s organization. Anyway, she met Canaan by chance in the past, where Canaan ended up saving her from some thugs.
So, Minoru is interviewing Maria at a restaurant, when they are suddenly attacked by the old man who looked like that politician. By the way, Yunyun, a girl working in the restaurant, is introduced. It doesn’t seem like much but, she will supposedly take some part in the story.
It seems the old man, and everyone using that strange mark, belongs to Hebi. He’s an assassin sent for Maria and Minoru, which means Hebi si targeting them for some reason. Canaan saves them and after that, they meet the Hakko, from that mysterious couple. Not sure why she’s there in that outfit but, not that I really mind though :) lol
Overall, very nice episode, better than the first. Some character development, although not much. The animation continues as high as in the first episode and I liked this action scenes even more. Funny too. Really looking forward to this one.
