A Comrad In Arms’ Footsteps

They arrive at Central. Once again, tidbits from the manga were cut, I remember some comedy happening in the train during the trip, it was cut out. Anyway, they arrive and Ling immediately feels something odd withing the country. And anyway again, one of my favorite parts of the manga is soon to come (episode 18, probably).

So, Ling eventually gets lost, hungry and loses the cool attitude. His found by authorities and imprisoned due to illegally boarding the country. About Barry, Falman has been put in charge of him.

Meanwhile, Mustang talks with Armstrong. He’s been digging to find more about what Hughes was on to. He lets Armstrong know some stuff. He also lies to the brothers about Hughes death but, they eventually find out. It was cool seeing Mustang acting like that, even surprising himself.

They face Gracia and tell her about their "fault" in all this. Gracia gives a deep speech about Hughes and how she’s certain he would never regret doing it. She’s basically the one who gives them strength to look forward no matter what happened.

Envy, finds that Mustang has been searching for info and decides to give him some closure concerning Hughes death. So, they decide to prosecute Ross as Hughes’ killer. Very strong and emotional episode. Winry’s pie scene touched me in particular lol. The next episode will probably be even darker, just like when Ed and Al found about Nina.

  1. yeah Winry’s pie scene was surprisingly effective, probably because I forgot how the manga went in this part.
