Bleach - Episode 235
Clash!
Hisagi vs. Kazeshini
I was afraid this episode would suck, production wise, because of the last ones being so good but, I’m happy I was mistaken. This episode continues the 3 fights, Ichigo, Hisagi and Renji. Not sure why Hisagi made the title, he was the lesser important one.
Anyway, Renji fights his zanpakutou and basically loses. His zanpakutou tells him that their reasons for leaving him is that he’s too week. He accepts that and gets kind of emo. How he can’t do anything and is week. But, he remembers his reason for fighting, for getting stronger, beating Rukia’s brother. He finds his willpower again and forces Zabimaru into shikai. So, it seems shinigami still hold some of their zanpakutou inside of him, or they can make it be reborn some how. Anyway cool fight.
Meanwhile, inside Ichigo, Shirozaki continues fighting Muramasa and pushing him back, until Muramasa decides to use his powers. It seems they are some kind of invisible tentacles. Anyway, Ichigo saves Shirozaki, he’s fine again. Ichigo and Shirozaki have a really cool fight and they push Muramasa out. The real fight is going to begin now. As for Hisagi, it was cool but short, basically ended with a cliffhanger, we us not knowing if he was alive or not.
The animation was nice with really fluid moves. Renji had some cool scenes, as well as Hisagi. And Shirozaki had a cool old style sword battle. I really liked Renji’s internal struggle, really well done and in context, for a filler. Ichigo and his hollow were also really cool, and I think the way they sided was really believable. The writers are doing a nice job with the characters.
Very cool episode, this my favorite filler arc so far from Studio Pierrot. I welcome fillers like this. Really nice.
