Tatakau Shisho - The Book Of Bantorra - Episode 4
The Setting Sun, Shiron & Colio
It seems the books can create a connection between past and future, at least in Shiron’s case. So, it doesn’t seem like Colio and Iea will become romantically interested in each other like I though. Iea still holds Carthelo has her soul mate and it seems Colio’s is Shiron, she also thinks this, hence the past-future thing.
Hamyuts and Cigal’s fight wasn’t all that exciting but, it was cool and I really liked Hamyuts attitude. Also, the train wreck was unexpected and really cool. Colio then appears, called by destiny. Shiron has told him a certain time and place to attack Cigal. My guess is she somehow still has influence over the sword and since Shlamufen seems to act on it’s own priorities, it lets Cigal unprotected for Colio to strike. This scene was Shiron’s first vision of the future.
After the fight, Hamyuts collapses and Colio looks dead. Not sure if he will survive for being some kind of main character. But honestly, he dying as did his love, Shiron, makes sense and I think it’s a fitting end for him, not much purpose for him to keep living after that. Cigal’s book is taken by the Church of Drowning.
Not sure about the ending. I guess Ylucklucu, being a weapon from the past, is just like Shlamufen, some really strong weapon. Not sure about who Volken is searching for too or what’s his relation with both Vend Ruga and Olivia Litlet.
Nice episode, not that great of a climax for the arc but, still very enjoyable. I wasn’t expecting the story to take this turn, it suddenly seems a little blander with Colio’s death, and it being just that but, the new arc will probably change my mind.
