Collision With The Unknown

The guys wearing the suits aren’t dead, just the suits. They get up. Everybody is shocked by how human they look. The creature also seems somehow surprised. I even though maybe he can only now see true reality, like his suit would give him some illusion. Assuming that whole "they were humans" theory, mutated and brainwashed but, anyway, he still tries to kill people. Kurono ends one of them but, at that point, his a target. The other one comes, he’s forced to run with Tae. He ends up facing the creature one on one and, surprise, his suit allows him to knock him down.

Well, things are still looking really bad but, at least a little better now. I wouldn’t have though they could physically harm any of the big guys, unless using a gun. Glad I was wrong.

Still, this must mean this are the weaker first round foot soldiers. I just hope they don’t have a bunch of Nurari’s in waiting..

By the way, the giant alien soldiers resemble Goliath. And about the them being humans theory, even though unlikely, one of them is black.. And what’s all this talk about they being hunters from another world’s Gantz? Why even think that? They are just an alien race attacking Earth and they have an army just like every race, empire, whatever.

Gantz’ hunters on earth are just the product of someone accessing alien technology. Their technology.. that’s why they look similar. Now, about the guys that found the technology, not sure it was pure luck. The warning message about the invasion.. someone may be trying to help the humans by giving them a means to fight.

Can’t wait to read more, it’s awesome to see Kurono back in action for real.

Ending

Hibiki, trying to follow Kirisa, ends up in the cave where he finds the Akatsuki’s core. The Kiri-Ishi, Sasara, spying on him appears and explains all about that Akatsuki, he’s the one raising it. Hibiki manages to release Kirisa and they kill the Akatsuki together. Hibiki then kills, I think, Sasara, stating a Kiri-Ishi’s strength isn’t in it’s crave.

So, another lessen learned, not anything special. This arc ended up being just another one. Can’t wait for this manga to finally proceed with the plot.

Anyway, after they finish, another Kiri-Ishi appears at Garon’s. He’s carrying Sasara’s head. Then they mention something about some ritual. I’ll have to wait before something makes sense.

About the latest slower than normal chapters. Maybe Hiroya Oku was waiting for it’s magazines 1000th release so it could coincide with a nice chapter that’s actually worth coloring.

Smaller creature appear, this ones like more like the normal aliens Gantz’ hunters fought. The military actually manages to some damage, as little as it is. Wasn’t expecting them to even scratch the invaders.

Meanwhile, Cherry is the tither spot right now. Kurono looks to the scene, speechless but, instead of losing all hope, he vows to never give up and survive. This made felt nice, Gantz’ best part yet was with Kurono, when he was the absolute survivor. I’m hoping those times return.

Anyway, he gets his suit on and gets his gun. Somebody finally counter attacks. He destroys the two humanoid like guys that tried to destroy the school. After killing them. They return to their original form.. What does this mean? Are they just some strong trained aliens that somehow have some similarities with humans? Or were they actually humans, mutated, experimented upon, whatever?

The shot with the "normal" alien family watching the destruction, like they are waiting for their new homes.. I think it proves that’s their objective.

Also, some idea I picked up at MH, right now, it would feel nice to have like Nishi invade the "mother-ship" and start slaughtering non-military personal, even kids.

Anyway, things really are picking up, can’t wait for more.

The Uroboros Asteroid

Ageha and Amamiya go to NASL where Ageha’s father works. In their visit, Ageha meets one interesting guy who seems very observant. He later shows to know about Grigori and it’s test subjects.

Apart from that, they finally get some answers from Ageha’s father. Uroboros, in my opinion, is anything but an asteroid. It emits light as it pleases and constantly changes trajectory. What does this mean? Judging from Ageha’s father opinion, it seems like this is a meteor but a completely different one and at that at the same time, it’s communicating with someone.

From this theory, who’s he communicating with? Doubt it’s someone on Earth. Non of the villains so far seem to know about it’s existence. Although the elders in Psyren could.. still, I have no idea if those "elders" that appeared with Dholaki in one of the first episodes didn’t just become part of this after the meteor hit.

Anyway, my theory lol the way it moves and signals, it’s a space ship or a living thing, as simple as that. Of course, in the future Psyren world, there’s no real clue about alien life or anything like it..

Really have no idea, still, it’s becoming really interesting. Even though we won’t certainly find much more about the meteor right now, the new guy is a different story. Really liked the chapter, nice unexpected twist.

Tokyo Eliminator

What? Another chapter building up the same exact scene? lol I know I’ve taken a pause on Gantz, I just didn’t felt much like blogging this chapter at the time, then it got delayed, I though about doing volume reviews, then I realized how Gantz was one of the most looked for series in this blog and how much I was enjoying everything, before the constant destruction chapters. So, it’s time to continue, sorry for the delays.

Even though this chapter looks to be more of the same in the beginning, it actualy involves the Gantz’ characters this time. The invasion also evolves.

New, "smaller" suited man/robots appear. While the bigger ones were destroying infrastructures, this ones seem to have the purpose of killing human beings directly.

Most of the Gantz’ hunters are in the streets but, they are not even allowed to think of fighting back. Massive city-like ships start coming down from the skies.

Finally some development, wasn’t expecting the invasion to be this "serious" so soon.

Chapters 42-50

Fujimaru bitches a little and manages to get his way, as always lol, they take him to Third-I and he calmly manages to stop the virus from spreading, still two people were infected already. Meanwhile, Kanou discovers the bad guys’ plan to trick Third-I and so, in order to let them know, he can’t put his suicidal plan in action.

Meanwhile, Fujimaru ends up finding out that the reason they can’t find a way to decrypt the Shikimura File is because there’s no way to do it, it’s a fake. The terrorists, knowing how important it is, sent them a fake one and even "tried" to get it back in order to trick them. This way, Third-I would think they have the file and stop their search. Now, a lot of time was wasted, they could have already found the original.. Munakata is also helping the terrorists and they understand what’s happening through her.

The terrorists, monitoring Falcon’s every move, are going to just get the file from him as soon as he finds it but, Falcon had already understood everything and hacked them in return. This felt good lol Falcon is very smart and all but, I didn’t like how he normally lost. Hackers aren’t just programmers, they have to think outside of computers. He did all this by simple finding and hacking their blue-tooth communications.

When J manages to reverse things a little, Fujimaru and his new bodyguard, Minami, are forced to escape with an helicopter, this scene seemed forced, no way an helicopter could be so much time under fire and still be able to take off and not crash. But, I could be mistaken.

Anyway, Fujimaru realizes Shikimura probably left his file for him in his mother’s blog/memorial. He finds it and traces the antiviral back to Third-I. Meanwhile, his father and his friends have just realized they are in a trap.

Nice volume, continues just like the others, with accelerated pace and full of constant twists. I liked this volume a lot, a lot of things are happening right now, can’t wait to read the rest.

A Smile, a Mask & a Man with a Death Wish

I really liked the definition of magic that they gave in this episode, it’s just something that sounds true but, never had thought about it that way lol. Anyway, we continue that Meat’s transformation into a "monster". We see some parts of the magic training and a very annoying girl which will surely make you want to slap her.

Anyway, Noloty meets Zatoh who tries to kill himself even though it’s harmless to him lol, and she confronts him about stealing Luimon’s book. Meseta states Zatoh is the one who attacked Bantorra, it actually makes sense but, I never though he was the one.

Minth is sent in to check on Meseta’s words but, he can’t find traces of the monster inside of him. He wants to atone for all the people that he killed but, there’s also something inside of him that he has to suppress. What I’m guessing is that he has someone else inside of him, like a second personality, and that’s the personality present when he attacked Bantorra, (if it really was him). I also think maybe that Meat is the one. Remember "they come back to life through their book"..

And then I watched the last part of the episode and they said it already lol anyway the next episode seems to continue that Meat’s past and it seems quite interesting, with the anoying girl maybe taking revenge, anyway, I’ll have to wait and see.

Cool episode, I’m liking "Zatoh’s" flashbacks. I’m guessing Meseta will end up not letting Ganbanzel just walk around. Not sure how Noloty will react now, maybe she will be able to reach the true Zatoh. She’s kind of a mix between a immature/cheesy character and one with true moral beliefs.

Amaterasu

So, it was still a gengutsu fight and Sasuke manages to dispel Itachi’s Tsukuyomi, he has become truly strong. He’s also lucky Itachi isn’t in his best shape. The real battle starts now.

Itachi tries for Amaterasu but, Sasuke manages to finally beat him with more shurikens. Itachi is even more weakened after having failer Tsukuyomi. They bring the fight outside with Katon until Itachi is forced to really use Amaterasu. Sasuke is eventually caught but, he had already prepared an escape by using the same "replacement" jutsu that Orochimaru normally used.

And now they are both out of chakra. Still, Sasuke seems to have something up his sleeve, some new jutsu. It’s not just Naruto that has been busy creating his ultimate ninjutsu, and what’s more, while Naruto only seems to evolve one single jutsu at a time, Sasuke, as always, shows to be a complete shinobi in all aspects.

Awesome episode once again, awesome animation. Even though this one had more "dead" times and "explanations", it was still really action and adrenaline packed. Loved it.

The preview showed a lot of "half-spoilers". The next one seems to maintain some of the quality level. I’m really impressed with this, would never have expected Shippuuden to rise to such a level. Can’t wait for the next episode, for the next arc and for Naruto to become a full fledged shinobi, you will understand what I’m talking about soon :).
