Well, if anyone was worried with some minor multi-headed snake or some unicorns, they are not really relevant when colossal dragons are landing in rooftops, and armies of undead and stupid looking monster are running amok.

So, basically, the parallel reality/world where demons and fairies inhabited just fused with "our" world. Now all those beings from fairytales are living in this world as if they had always been there.

There’s a lot of really freaky yet cool art, specially some shots which I have no idea where they came from.

The next chapter’s preview talks about Griffith’s dream coming true.. Not sure what it means but, I guess there’s two possibilities.

First, he would reverse all this, which, together with the fact that e defeated Ganishka, would make almost everyone recognize him as the world’s ruler.

The second, in my opinion, and I’m saying this based on some pages of the chapter, the world would stay well just the way it is right now. Why do I say this? The narrator describes this new world, first as something bad but then as something just new, and something people would actually wish for, not sure. The same way bad creatures appear, good ones appear too. It’s like there’s just more species..

Anyway, probably not, I really can’t figure anything out from this manga anymore lol

Cool chapter, hope the next one doesn’t take too long.

Well, not really sure what happened (as always lol) but, when it seems the door they opened was actually a door separating some demon reality from our own and tons of demons and such have began invading our reality.

And basically, the chapter was just like a cool stylish intro but, only that. It’s a chapter that really doesn’t hold much on it’s own. It would surely feel much better reading it as a part of a whole volume.

Still good as long as you’re patient.

For now, we’re only shown the giant light enveloping Earth and an isolated case where Unicorns and some kind of snake with lots of heads appear.

This doesn’t seem like a small temporary incident. The author is calling it the "new world", so I guess there will be a lot more cases like this. So much for Griffith’s perfect world. I wonder how people will react to him now. This new monsters don’t seem as human friendly as Griffith’s.

Gatz and the others also appear again. Not sure if the story’s focus will shift to them now or if both sides will be told at the same time.

Well, not really sure what happened. Zodd attacks Skull to save Griffith but, Skull dodges. If he had time to strike Griffith I’m not sure. I mean, I think he stroke him but, I’m not sure how exactly. He seems his sword warped space or something like that.

Griffith mentions that his slash, together with the "twice-spanned rebirth" opened the door. The door to Ganishka’s insides?

Not sure of what happens next too lol but, it seems Ganishka starts emitting a lot of light, like it’s going to blow up or something.

The chapter reads "That light envelops the world, and the New World appears!". I have no idea if this is just metaphorically speaking, like Ganishka is now dead and so the New World ruled by Griffith can start, or if it’s literally going to make a physical difference in the land and it’s people, like blowing up lol.

Ganishka’s past was actually pretty interesting. I love this kind of stories on Berserk, where characters are forced into doing horrible things, the art and dark ambient are also excellent. Anyway, since he was little, he had his mother as his enemy. He ends being able to kill her and his brother, who she wanted to make king.

Later, he was always fighting for his survival in the middle of all the royalty. He manages to make his way to the throne by helping kill his own father. He has known nothing but fear since he was born.

As he becomes king, he’s forced into battle with other nations. He becomes to accustomed to it. It’s like he fears that someone might come and take him down so, he wants to conquer the whole world. Also, he gets a wife and son but, he fears his own family, just like his family feared him.

Later in time, in a banquet, his son and some guards betray and try to kill him, staging a coup d’etat. Just before dying, he grabs the odd stone that was given to him at some point.

So, that’s when he first used the Behelit. Back to the present, he’s engulfed by the light coming from the Hawk. It’s like he’s just waiting for salvation (death). And, as Griffith approaches, out of nowhere, the Skull Knight appears. Griffith and Zodd are both surprised. There’s no time to react and Skull slashes down his sword through Griffith.

Now, that was a really unforeseen twist. I doubt Skull can just have killed Griffith like that, still, if he somehow hurt him, it will probably change the course of this whole battle against Ganishka. And I hope Skull manages to escape. If he gets killed here, Guts forces are like cut in half almost, with one of his strongest allies gone.

Soar

Not really sure how I managed to miss Berserk for three whole issues.. But, anyway, I finally noticed it had come back from the break, yay!

Not matter what, Ganishka looks just too colossal. It’s not even the thing you can even think of trying to go against once you see it’s true form, or, at least, how much of it is possible to see at a time. Still, having Griffith there, makes you know it’s all going to be fine. Amidst all the "wow"s, Griffith takes flight aboard Nosferatu Zodd confidently.

He rises above Ganishka and lands on Ganishka’s "zenith". It seems the next chapter will be about the emperor. Not sure what to expect, anyway, I’m reading it next lol.

Berserk was one of my all time favorites when I read it for the first time, before arriving to the currently being released chapters. Having to read it with such gaps takes a lot from it in my opinion. That’s probably why I don’t enjoy it as much now (not that I don’t enjoy it a lot still).

I think the same way of Gantz, while Naruto and Bleach are mangas that, as I see it, work perfectly as a chapter per week, not that I wouldn’t enjoy being able to read it all through but, it doesn’t really make a big difference. They work well as small chapters. With Berserk, I feel like I can’t enjoy the whole greatness and epic"ness" (not sure I can say that lol) of it having to read it like this.

Anyway, glad it’s back into serialization. By the way, beautiful art with lots of big shots.

Confusion

Humans and Apostles continue fighting together. Not just fighting, they are really thinking of each other as comrades and sacrificing themselves for one another.

Nothing much happened but, if Griffith defeats Ganishka, I have no doubt he will be king and the most important one ever. Now matter what wrong he did, he’s uniting the human world now.

Of course that doesn’t cover what he did. I wonder how Guts will react when he sees that everyone love Griffith.

It seems the series is going to take a break again. I have no idea when it will come back.

The Maiden Of The Hawk

Sonia acted a little rashly but, her speech alone, made all humans change their minds about the demons. I wonder what would have happened if she died lol would have been a big "fail" moment lol.

The humans are now ready to help Griffith fight them.

Griffith’s strategy is working very well for now. But, they will probably start having some problems soon if there are too many enemies or if stronger ones start coming.

And how will Griffith fight Ganishka himself? And what’s been happening with Guts and the others?

Battlegrounds Of The Outcasts

Well, nothing much happening on this chapter. Just some battle art and the people’s first reaction to the fact that Griffith controls demons.

In the midst of all this, Sonya calls everyone a fool, I think. I guess what she means is that people should be ashamed of doubting Griffith just because he’s using demons or something like that. After all, he’s saving them and his demons are harming any innocent lives.
