Fujimaru calls Hide to let him know the last updates. Hide acts like a complete pussy. I’m guessing something will end up happening to him, because of his "mom". Fujimaru and Otoya decide to go look for his father while Maya is questioned. Asada comes along with them.

Meanwhile, Takagi goes to see a past friend, Munakata, of his who Shikimura sent the secret file to, for safe keeping. But, the assassin appears. More, Fujimaru’s clue to finding his father is going to that same friend.

It was a cool chapter, the short action scene was really well done with tension. I wonder how things will go now that Fujimaru and the other two arrive at the very same place.

The Creeping Shadow

Another mysterious character is introduced, mister K. He seems to be higher on the food chain than Maya. Someone is telling him to trust Maya, that she wouldn’t do anything to endanger their plan.

Anyway, Maya is brought in for questioning by the Third-I agents. It seems it will be pretty tough to get anything out of her, there’s not much hope around it but, you never know.

^{Yeah! It’s happening! oh no.. wait.. ah.. they are just going to interrogate her.. :’}

Meanwhile, the public police double their efforts on capturing Takagi.

The chapter ends with the discovery of one spy, I wasn’t really expecting for any revelation concerning that family. I’m starting to like the terrorist’s side a lot. I mean, they now how to pick their agents ;p

I hope some scanlators pick this series. It’s pretty much dead right now, this last chapter was scanlated as a one time thing by a lone scanlator..

The Game Is Over

Things get very interesting in this chapter. Falcon actually lies by telling the truth. I mean, he hides his true intentions and the fact that this is all a test and that he suspects her, by saying that Otoya didn’t trust her and they went there so they could verify her new alibi.

So, everything fine for now. He also does a couple of tries to be able to go get the pen but, Maya stops all his attempts for leaving the room.

Then, Falcon unexpectedly pretends to have already looked in Maya’s computer. Although he didn’t, Maya has proof in her pc that she wasn’t in Japan at the time and she already said she was so, to her, it seems like she just plainly lied to Fujimaru. She gets her gun immediately and point it at him stating she was testing the virus that day.

So, Fujimaru manages to uncover the truth without actually looking into her laptop. Still seeing him so confident, Maya looks back and understands that his "it’s hot" plan was actually for her to really open the curtain and window. She quickly looks outside (and I was thinking right "did Fujimaru ask the Third E people to help him? Who could it be outside that can shoot a weapon?") But, it was all him and Otoya. Maya shoots instantly but, Otoya probably already having her on his sight for a long time, had the advantage and shoots an arrow at her. Still, she misses him just by a little.

Maya drops the weapon and loses consciousness. Now, they now she’s with the enemy and they have her hostage. They just don’t know how important she really is in the enemy’s plan.

Strategy

This chapter marks the beginning of volume 3. Fujimaru now has the chance to investigate Maya’s apartment. While on the phone, his conversation with Otoya is hilarious.

They arrive at the conclusion that Maya is probably prepared in case her apartment gets searched by the police. It’s a place some people could get easy access to and it’s not likely for her to ever leave any clues there knowing that.

Anyway, her laptop has been left in open view. She probably didn’t leave anything there but, she might have had it and Fujimaru checks deleted files, because deleted files aren’t really deleted with normal methods.

Maya comes back and there’s no time to complete the transfer. Fujimaru takes a chance and improvises a plan leaving the pen in the room, meeting Maya outside and managing for him to be the one opening the door and pretend it was locked. All went good and was actually original. It was funny seeing him lying about his friend and his sister and actually get mad thinking about it lol

Inside the apartment again, they both think there’s a possibility they are being suspect by the other. Fujimaru tries to make Maya leave for the kitchen but, she manages to bring him with her.

A stressful ambient takes over. And in the middle of this, Fujimaru remembers that Russian Christmas is actually on a different day than theirs and he tells this to Maya. So, that’s how she forged her alibi, she actually was there on the video club that day. Seems strange.. She could just have gotten an alibi for the actual day. Once they new that the Russian Christmas was on a different day, she would still be saved..

I really liked this chapter, very funny and suspenseful.

All For Nothing

Third I gets some new clues. It seems there’s two important computer files that they need to get their hands on. One of them, the "Shikimura file" was sent to a friend of his, instructing him to give it to Takagi.

Shikimura’s friend is willing to help and Takagi is back.

Meanwhile, Fujimaru and Otoya are ready to investigate Maya.

They go to her house with the excuse of reporting and then pretend that they got a call from Haruka and leave. As Maya was changing, she couldn’t see Fujimaru actually hiding in the bathroom. Maya leaves the apartment too.

Now, Fujimaru is alone in her apartment.

• Personal Enjoyment: 5/5 (I was going to give a 4 but then, Maya appeared and.. well.. it’s a 5 now)

Alibi Trap

Fujimaru stops Maya’s plans. It seems like she won’t underestimate her again. She thinks about how Fujimaru also ruined their plans two year ago. Maybe it’s something I’m already supposed to know and I forgot lol, or maybe something that Fujimaru without realizing it when helping Third I.

They are about to take the fake Tominaga for questioning when he suddenly bursts into blood. Although it was just poison, no Bloody Monday for now.

Hide’s family has been given a lot of strange screen time in this past chapters: I wonder if something will happen with him besides him quiting his involvement in this matter.

Meanwhile, Fujimaru, talking with Otoya about girls, lets him know that there was a girl similar to Orihara-sensei in the Bloody Monday video. Otoya makes Fujimaru see that alibi isn’t enough proof.

Knowing there’s a mole in Third I, they decide to investigate on their own.

A Traffic Jam

So, they just asked him to hack the central as some psychological method to get him working for them. Because, they were afraid he would refuse to if they asked of him to do a very important hack without any real prof that they would let Haruka walk. Now he’s more likely to work for them again.

Fujimaru finally starts acting more intelegint and how an hacker is supposed to. He hacks the traffic light controller and makes it so that the kidnappers are made to pass through a certain place where Hosho is already waiting. They manage to take Haruka back.

I’m not sure why but, I always like to see Maya’s expression when Falcon wins lol

3 Deaths

I only just realized now that Third I must mean a "third eye", that would make sense knowing they are a secret organization trying to maintain the peace from the shadows.

Two more Third I agents come to help. And one is a much needed womanizer :p

Fujimaru has shown the video to the cops and one of them claims it to be a CG done by Fujimaru. What’s wrong with this people? Don’t they know that’s not something you can just do because you’re smart? It’s an artistic work that takes a lot of time, people and resources. Besides there’s no CG yet that can make people so real that you wouldn’t notice. It’s the same with Gantz, everybody thinks the monster are just some CG playing in a 3D tv that happens to be the size of a city. God, this things make me angry lol

Fujimaru gives the only copy to the police in a rather naive way. Haruka gets kidnapped again and the lower ranking detective is helping. He was also working for Maya and killed the other police man.

Things are getting ugly again. Haruka only has one more day.
