The Gate Is Opened

Fuu is dead, Bradley tries to take Ling and himself down but, with the soldiers and Lan Fan’s help, they manage to save him. Ling becomes really freaked out, he offers his stone’s powers to anyone there who can use it to save Fuu and Buccaneer but, nobody can. Before dying, Buccaneer asks Ling to help protect the entrance, as his troops can’t fight any longer. He asks Greed to give him all his power and proceeds to killing everyone. Buccaneer then dies peacefully.

Meanwhile, Ed, Al and Izumi are brought before "Father". He has won against Honheime. He counts 4 sacrifices so I guess that means Honheime is one too. But, he needs five. Elsewhere, the mad doctor is forcing Mustang to open the gate but, Mustang knows it’s impossible for it to work and even so, he wouldn’t do it. Then, they kill Riza.. I’m not sure she’s dead but, if not, she’ll die with the next couple seconds. No idea what Mustang will do.

Another huge problem, they’ve been very casually yelling for Al to wake up.. Al has never been non waked up, since he become a soul in an armor. He’s not there, could he have been finally rejected from the armor? Could he gotten trapped in his way, he will maybe be able to find his body..

Anyway, things are bad right now, can’t wait for the next one.

Endless Rest

The fight continues, awesomely. Can’t wait to see this animated now. This is turning out one of the best close fights in Fullmetal’s history.

Bradley is superb. They can’t hurt him anyway. He manages to hurt the old man, who’s saved by Ling. He then tries a suicide attack but, Bradley easily prevents it and kills him. Still, Buccaneer, sacrificing himself too, attacks Bradley through the old man’s body, surprising him. Loved this moment and Buccaneer’s quote "Even the eyes of God himself can’t block an attack they can’t see".

Wrath is hurt now but, still far from dead, he pushes the two "dead" man aside but, Greed or Ling is already on him and takes his sword away. Lan Fan has also just arrived and witnessed her grandfather’s death.

Meanwhile, the mad doc is regarded as an enemy, obviously, and they proceed to take him but, he has got all the Fuhrer candidates from number 13 and up. They are all really strong. The doctor then starts to gather the human sacrifices. Their final plan is being put to motion.

I think all the human sacrifices are now together, although the last panel confused me.

I really enjoyed this chapter, awesome fight/drama scene along with a surprising ending, things are moving faster than I expected. And with all that’s happening at the same time, we have a lot to look forward to.

Unlimited Greed

Greed goes to fight Bradley. Even among all his greed, he cares for the others around him. And it seems Ling is cooperating with him to fight Bradley.

News of Bradley’s arrival give the troops new life and an assault to take back Central starts. By the way, Denny comes back and only now learns that Ross was alive.

Meanwhile, Armstrong gets some more Central troops on her side and they decide to go down to the lower levels. Al and the others, already there, meet someone.. I actually have no idea who they met lol It looks like it’s supposed to be a known character and someone important but, I really have no idea lol If someone cares to inform me..

All in all, awesome chapter. I didn’t go into much detail earlier but, the short fight between Wrath and Greed was really cool, specially the ending. Fu joining the battle and getting really fired up to avenge Ran-Fan was cool. He just suddenly started looking like a main character, rather than some unimportant guard. Ran-Fan will probably join in too, at least it looked like she was looking for her master.

The Two Philosophers

Hohenheim talks with his friend from the flask. It seems Hohenheim has managed to isolate every single soul’s consciousness inside of himself and talked to them.

This way, he manages to control their power and tries to make his "friend" kill himself, so to speak. Still, he escapes from his "body" and consumes it. He now looks much like a mix between Pride and the "Truth".

Meanwhile, Central has been almost completely taken over military wise. Just when it’s about to be done.. Bradley returns. He incentives available troops to follow him. Anyway, he alone goes alone through the front gate. He brings down a tank team standing there. Next, Buccaneer and Felman come. Buccaneer is taken out and Felman, even though he knows he has no chance, stands up to Wrath. Still, Buccaneer gets up again, even though his arm is trashed.

Wrath questions this, so called, bravery humans have. But, Greed interrupts and finishes his speech himself. He’s going to help them and take revenge on Wrath.

Not sure who’s in control now, Ling, Greed or if both of them have come to some agreement. But, he was damn cool. So was Buccaneer when he said "Oh, come on, don’t cry like a girl when you act like a man" lol.

It was really cool that Felman didn’t have to die, yet. Being the oldest, he was always the one left with the worst jobs, kind of, still, for him to be the only one from Mustang’s personal troops to die would be really sad.

Can’t wait for the showdown. With Ling’s abilities, Wrath won’t have as easier a time as he had before.

Our Two Heroines

The Brigg’s platoon finally takes full control over Central. Now they just need to eradicate the dolls and prevent them from escaping to the  city.

Well, the Armstrong siblings are in deep trouble but, Izumi and and her Husband arrive. The fight is resolved in a rather comical matter. I have no problem with a fun scene but, it was a fun scene used to resolve a big fight.

Meanwhile, Hohenheim confronts Father. Father starts fighting while Hohenheim just tries to avoid him. He analyzes Father’s desires. How he actually wanted to be a human but, anyway, father has become pretty much emotionless because of removing those seven desires (deadly sins) from himself.

He wants to get Hohenheim’s stone. When he finally manages to, he realizes he has no stone anymore. Which means, he’s a normal human now, mortal.

Well, I think there will some talking about their past but, I doubt Hohenheim can talk Father out of all this. They will probably fight for real, and I think Hohenheim can’t beat him. Ed and Al will probably intervene, they are the main characters after all. And I also think Hohenheim will end up dieing, kind of makes sense for his character to go.

Nice chapter, the army take down is over, as Sloth’s fight. Things are developing.

Behond The Flames

Everyone tries to stop Mustang. He ends up changing his mind because of Hawkeye. I think their love for each other is expressed for real for the first time here. Anyway, Ed analyzes Envy and talks about what he really is envious about. Envy’s biggest envy was not being a human. After being found and humiliated, he kills himself.

More teams come to stop Armstrong. She manages to get everyone working together against the dolls. The brother uses Sloth to get his dislocated shoulder back on place and the fight continues. Things look better but, I don’t think they can really stop Sloth or the dolls as a group. it’s temporary.

Meanwhile, Brigg’s forces continue fighting the Central army. Ed and Al’s teacher joins the battle. I didn’t even remember her. If someone asked, I wouldn’t be sure she was dead or alive lol. At least my memories will probably get better from now on with the anime following the manga.

The Flames Of Revenge

Another popularity contest lol Not sure what to have expected aside from Ed taking first place. Anyway, this is the kind of series where it’s hard not to like any character. They all have something we can relate too, both good and evil.

Mustang’s troops start using the mass media. They easily get the people on their side with help from the Fuhrer’s wife. Meanwhile, the troops from Briggs continue progressing without much resistance from Central.

Mustand and Riza stay back to fight Envy. Mustang seems unbeatable. If he can just burn anything inside Envy’s body every time he wants. This isn’t going to be much of a problem. Anyway, Envy understands that he has to change strategy.

His main objective seems to be to just keep Roy away from Father for now. He tries to take the pain and go for a close fight where Roy can’t use his flames but Mustang manages to avoid this.

Envy gets away for some time and tries to attack Riza. Riza surprisingly puts up a good fight. Anyway Mustang arrives and burns Envy until he returns to his original form.

Now, Riza tries to stop him from giving the final blow. They know that killing him won’t really help Mustang and they could lose him to revenge for ever. Fullmetal and Scar who had comeback concerned with this, help too. I think the Colonel will come around it. Anyway, another Hommunculus threat is gone for now.

Arch Enemy

Kimblee is out, and Heinkel uses him as a shield against Pride. Pride actually stops the his attack because of this. He then prepares to attack Marcoh when Yoki comes out of nowhere, saving him and everybody else. Didn’t expect Yoki to ever make a difference in the actual story. They are now planning on going to Central.

Seems Pride didn’t attack Kimblee, hoping that he was still alive and that he could consume him.

Meanwhile, Alex manages to stop for Sloth.. not for long of course. Anyway, guards appear and prepare to kill them but, something else appears that no one there was expecting. The zombie chimeras have made it to the "populated" area. At least now the guards may start cooperating with them which could mean the whole army (the human part at least) turning against Central.

The girl from Xing has no problem evading and running from Envy but, she can’t actually destroy it.

Ed and the others are having more difficulty dealing with the dolls. They are reaching their limit when Mustang makes his appearance, blasting every thing, Ed included of course :) It was really funny hearing Hawkeye comment on bullets being useless this days.

Mustang also brings some good moments, specially when he talks with Envy, who meets them by chance along with the girl from Xing.

Mustang finally learns Envy killed Hughes. He’s now 100% serious and set for revenge.

The series continues awesome, looking forward to the next chapter.
