The Flames Of Revenge

Another popularity contest lol Not sure what to have expected aside from Ed taking first place. Anyway, this is the kind of series where it’s hard not to like any character. They all have something we can relate too, both good and evil.

Mustang’s troops start using the mass media. They easily get the people on their side with help from the Fuhrer’s wife. Meanwhile, the troops from Briggs continue progressing without much resistance from Central.

Mustand and Riza stay back to fight Envy. Mustang seems unbeatable. If he can just burn anything inside Envy’s body every time he wants. This isn’t going to be much of a problem. Anyway, Envy understands that he has to change strategy.

His main objective seems to be to just keep Roy away from Father for now. He tries to take the pain and go for a close fight where Roy can’t use his flames but Mustang manages to avoid this.

Envy gets away for some time and tries to attack Riza. Riza surprisingly puts up a good fight. Anyway Mustang arrives and burns Envy until he returns to his original form.

Now, Riza tries to stop him from giving the final blow. They know that killing him won’t really help Mustang and they could lose him to revenge for ever. Fullmetal and Scar who had comeback concerned with this, help too. I think the Colonel will come around it. Anyway, another Hommunculus threat is gone for now.

Arch Enemy

Kimblee is out, and Heinkel uses him as a shield against Pride. Pride actually stops the his attack because of this. He then prepares to attack Marcoh when Yoki comes out of nowhere, saving him and everybody else. Didn’t expect Yoki to ever make a difference in the actual story. They are now planning on going to Central.

Seems Pride didn’t attack Kimblee, hoping that he was still alive and that he could consume him.

Meanwhile, Alex manages to stop for Sloth.. not for long of course. Anyway, guards appear and prepare to kill them but, something else appears that no one there was expecting. The zombie chimeras have made it to the "populated" area. At least now the guards may start cooperating with them which could mean the whole army (the human part at least) turning against Central.

The girl from Xing has no problem evading and running from Envy but, she can’t actually destroy it.

Ed and the others are having more difficulty dealing with the dolls. They are reaching their limit when Mustang makes his appearance, blasting every thing, Ed included of course :) It was really funny hearing Hawkeye comment on bullets being useless this days.

Mustang also brings some good moments, specially when he talks with Envy, who meets them by chance along with the girl from Xing.

Mustang finally learns Envy killed Hughes. He’s now 100% serious and set for revenge.

The series continues awesome, looking forward to the next chapter.

Combined Strength

Alphonse decides to use the Philosophers Stone. Use it to save the world, make the lives that were sacrificed for it mean something.

This chapter was heavy on action. We finally get to see Alphonse 100% serious and kicking ass as the lead character.

The fight was really cool and creative, would be awesome to watch it animated.. Anyway, Alphonse manages to hide the presence of Doctor Marcoh. Using the stone, he heals Heinkel who gets Kimblee from behind. The attack seems deadly although the chapter ends without us really knowing if he kills Kimblee or not.

Kimblee and Alphonse’s dialog or interesting. It’s nice to see a character actually pointing out the stupidity of only having to equivalent choises, a thing that happens a lot without any real need to in many stories. Kimblee’s response was cool.

Meanwhile, Armstrong keeps surviving sloth, as her attacks don’t really do much to him. She’s about to get done when Alex arrives and saves her.

At first, I really though the two siblings could do it. But, they only manage to kill him once. After that, Sloth realizes he must sop bieng lazy and reveals his true abilities. He’s impossibly fast and can’t even control himself.

The two Armstrongs are overpowered. The girl is down and Alex doesn’t seem to have any way to defend himself anymore. I’m guessing Mustong or someone else will appear now. Either that or they are dead..

Overall, an awesome chapter.

The Philosopher’s Revival

Heinkel is still alive. Alphonse sacrifices his leg to try and get some distance between them and Pride.

Heinkel wants Alphonse to leave him and run, although I think even if he tried to just run away, he wouldn’t be able to escape Pride and Kimblee.

Seeing that he won’t leave him, Heinkel gives Alphonse a philosophers stone that he picked up. Now Alphonse has a chance.

Meanwhile, all hell breaks lose in Central. Not only is Ed and his companions fighting the zombie chimeras but also, the girl from Xing lets Envy get back and Armstrong meets Sloth. Things were looking good, really, two homunculus out.. and now, they are both back.

At least the war upstairs is looking good now that Brigg’s forces are helping Mustang.

Also, the two that started it all finally meet again. I hope Hohenheim can really beat him.

Cool chapter, this series promises to have an awesome ending, at least action wise.

The Immortal Army

Volume 21 cover art has been released. It features a very cool and dark All. I really liked it.

They are just leaving Pride to deal with him after the promised day. I doubt he and Al will just stay there throughout everything.

Armstrong tests the two "chosen" who are with her. It seems their mentality can’t be changed. Armstrong finally makes her move.

Ed and the rest come to central and infiltrate the underground. Hohenheim manages to get Lin’s bodyguard free to go search for him. The other bodyguard is also checking things upstairs. He’s worried about the KI leaking from "father". It almost seems like "father" is scouting, searching for Pride.

The army, being pushed back, decides to user their last weapon. They activate all the artificial human soldiers, or whatever they are called. Basically, they are super powerful zombies. That means they are immortal and ready to destroy everything in their path, no matter who’s side someone is on. Nice :) Al and friends are first to get some trouble with it. Will they be able to fight them? Or will they have to run and abandon the idea of reaching "father" through that place? Anyway, I think this new variable will make all factions join up and try to defeat them together.

Also, Pride managed to inform his party about his location. Kimblee comes to free him. The chimera is killed and Al is now alone with them.

Things are getting worse. Pride is free again and the artificial humans are sure to cause much trouble. I’m very excited to see what happens.

Soldiers Come Marching Home

Marcoh, Scar and the other Chimeras return. Now, they are all together, taking aside Mustang’s party. The old man leaves to try to find as much as he can about Mustang’s plans.

Meanwhile, Ed is most worried about what Lin/Greed is up to. Anyway, they got to deal with the problem at hands first, Pride.

In Central, Mustang’s group is fighting the military with the Fuhrer’s wife as a hostage. The officials tell the soldiers to just attack them anyway. Their only orders are to get Mustang alive, all the others are to be killed.

Right now, Mustang has the advantage. They are managing to move forward without having to kill any enemies. They had some more man ready to join them, surprising Central.

It seems Central’s main reason to have Armstrong with them is for Briggs not to revolt. Too bad for them that Briggs troops are hidden inside Armstrong’s mansion.

More backup arrives with old friends. Things are really looking good for the good side. Right now I’m really interest to see Ed and company fighting Pride, if that’s what they are going to do. I have no idea how "father" is thinking of responding to all this attacks. He only has Sloth for now and Greed is on his way to cause some damage there.

As a side note, I think that "eclipse thing" is gonna be something important..

It was a cool chapter building up for the final. All the characters are coming together again for the final act.

Familiar Love

Pride goes on the attack. His shadow is massive now that he has light. They have almost no chance against him. They can only dodge, except for all that can resist the attacks with his automail. Most of them are also hurt and can’t fight.

Hohenheim and All come with a plan. They fool Pride, making him believe that All was going to attack him from behind. Then Pride catches him focusing all his shadow on him, so he won’t lose grip even with a flash grenade. Then, Hohenheim quickly traps him using alchemy, even blocking the light.

Now, Pride is defenseless and All is trapped with him. They begin talking. Pride talks a little about himself, not sure if it’s true or he’s just trying to fool All into pitying him.

Greed, sees an opportunity to take over, now that most homunculus are gone. But, does he really think he can kill "father"? Or something like that?

Meanwhile, Kimblee is back on action. I have no idea what his orders are.

An Underground Oath

Mustang finds out for sure that Bradley is an Homunculus. I never though that something like Mustang’s family would appear at this point. Mustang is going to kidnap the Fuher’s family, not sure with what intension, anyway, he doesn’t know the son is also an Homunculus.

Meanwhile, the Homunculus battle continues. The other bodyguard of Lin arrives. Just for curiosity, we learn that Pride is the most powerful Homunculus present and that Ed’s father is stronger than all of them.

To worsen the situation, the villagers come to see what’s happening and unintentionally give Pride a source of light. He instantly goes to kill the lion Quimera but, Ed comes and saves him. His new automail is much stronger, almost like  Greed’s body. Pride can’t pierce it. They are now more even. Pride tries to use All again but, they were preparing fo that. The old man send a flash bomb that takes away all shadows enabling All to be free from Pride. The other Chimera takes All away and they all run.

Gluttony is supposedly much weaker than he was in the beginning of the series because of dieing so many times. Pride examines his situation and decides to eat Gluttony, absorbing his abilities. Now, he can smell them. And also, Hohenheim has come to them.

His Pride still going to fight? I would like to Hohenheim in a fight.

And a new anime series has been announced :)
