Things Come To Light In The Mansion

So, some first explanations are given. It really wasn’t anything too unpredictable but, most people were expecting something really huge concerning aliens and everything and the explanations goes to a simple brutal sport for the rich to make bets on. It’s a topic already seen much in movies and such. Still, this one concerns some "impossible" technological things.

I guess the mental handicapped gave them the information for the balls and all the genetics, the clones but, the monsters too? Did they create them too? And what about the end of the world then? What about the government all the innocent people killed? Why come forward with the information? It’s a crime..

Well, if the aliens are really aliens and threatening mankind, then it’s kind of ok but still, forcing people into Gantz and having them serve as a pay per view show.. just like the Condemned, Death Race, Battle Royale, etc..

There’s also the strange meeting happening in the end. Why did the man come alone to meet the reporter? Was he there to kill him or something? Doesn’t make much sense still, it’s something bad. The chapter states everything was going to well and also that something starts moving in Berlin.

Cool chapter but, I still need to know some more stuff. Even if wacky the explanations were actually pretty simple. I’m expecting some bigger mysteries to be laying around the corner.

The Old Sage Of Darkness

Kurono is contacted by the journalist and witnesses the factory. He’s shocked to find out about it but, he quickly gets over it lol just like when he met the other Kurono. By the way, maybe their Gantz was like a beta test project, before going into full production.. lol just a thought.

Sakurai also sends Kurono a message. They no longer have bombs in their heads. They are really off from Gantz.

Meanwhile, in Germany, the journalist manages to arrange a meeting with the man behind it all. He gets really freaked out and nervous. He wasn’t expecting it to really happen, at least for now. I would be too lol. Still, when he arrives, he’s received by an old man who really seems like the sort of person who has gone through a lot in life but, he doesn’t look like a bad guy at all.

The next chapters promise to finally reveal all Gantz mysteries. I really have no freaking idea to what’s going on. All I want is to read the new chapters.

This chapter wasn’t a big cliff hanger by itself but, it’s the WHOLE GANTZ MYSTERY that we are about to uncover, can’t wait.

How To Build An Eternity

So, Kurono goes home with Reika, the chapter reads "a meaningless live with a meaningless love". Kurono is, of course, still hung on Tai and his past life.

At first, he pushes away Reika’s hits but, at night, not sure what really caused it, Kurono decides to "rape" Reika for a few moments. Not sure if he did it more out of hate, and when he saw Reika was okay with it, he lost that part and didn’t want to do it anymore.

Anyway, morning after, Kurono 2 coincidently meets Kurono 1, what are the odds? lol He ends up telling 1 all about it. Kurono 1, doesn’t really see the problem, as Kurono two is with Tae. Kurno two gets frustrated at himself and how he sometimes act. Anyway, he ends up accepting it.

They start living as a couple. The author, for now, went against most people expectations. Nothing hardcore or even really sexual happened. Kurono seems to be happy so, I’m not really sure what the "Darkness Deepens" message is really about. Unless it’s just about the general situation of the world, and not really just about Kurono.

The next chapter seems to be about Kikuchi reaching "the centre of it all". Not sure who that is anymore, maybe the reporter in germany?

Cool chapter, definitely surprised me in both the way the two Kuronos met and how the Reika and Kurono 2 developed as a a couple. Although Kurono 1 seemed a little too laid back with everything. As for Kurono and Reika, it was all a little rushed but, this way we can continue the main plot soon instead of having one entire arc devoted to this.

Warped Providence & Love

Well, it seems Gantz latest chapters and volumes are really riding high with critics and readers. Anyway, back to the story, Kurono finds he his another copy of himself and leaves Reika, pissed. Meanwhile, the Gantz man decides it would be nice to around walking on the streets naked.. Can’t see how that will end up wrong.

So, Kurono goes to Tae-chan’s place, just in time to see the "older" Kurono happily trying to reach her. He understands how bad it would be to make his own existence known and quietly says goodbye. He returns to Reika.. They are supposedly going to start a life together..

Well, I really have no idea where this story is going to go now. It makes it seem like there won’t really be anymore Gantz hunts.. although I doubt it. As for the white man.. it’s just too impossible to even try to predict anything, so I’ll just shut up about this whole weird/awesome plot.

At least, things are now very well set for Reika to finally have a sex scene.. Could all of this manga been building up just for that? kidding lol Anyway, it’s something many readers have been anticipating, not sure the "Mature Content" was really addressing this chapter.. I mean, the man has been naked for some time now, and it’s really nothing compared to Gantz’ past hardcore scenes..

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how Kurono 2 develops from now on. In case missions start again, how will everyone react to him? Kurono 1 has his life fulfilled and he’s happy, there’s no more surprises coming from him. Kurono 2 will probably be the most interesting one right now because of his situation. His character has potential do develop now, although I don’t agree with people saying that he will some how end up turning evil. I also think Reika’s emotions when she cried were real, even though she wanted another Kurono to herself, I don’t think she’s evil to the point of faking tears and acting sorry just to trick Kurono.

But, then again, about the plot lol. There’s a chance that catastrophe is still happening.. So, Gantz won’t even call them back for a mission, because the whole world will be it and it will forcefully involve everyone, including the hunters. Isn’t it strange that Gantz let them go without erasing their memories and removing their suits and weapons? Maybe it’s so they are ready when it comes. Even if you hated Gantz and never wanted to go back, what would you do if the end of the world came knocking? Yep, you would suit up (lol) and grab your Gantz’ big ass guns.

Sorry for the kind of messy "narrative" on my part, great chapter, things got really interesting.

Stirrings From The Womb Of The Black Ball

loool, can’t believe it really happened.. Anyway, Gantz doesn’t bring anyone back and skips that part. They are now all supposedly free. Reika, forgetting her clothes, goes back in the room again alone.

She finds the man inside the ball walking outside freely. I thought he was much older, he kind of reminds me of Dr. Manhattan, if it wasn’t for his evil-like grin. Anyway, he asks who it was she wanted to bring back, like he’s trying to fix his mistake.

Reika tells him and.. he makes another copy of Kurono.. lol All those crazy theories on the net came true. I mean, many people joked that Reika would try to make a copy of Kurono for herself.. well it ended happening, in a different way but, it happened nonetheless.

Now, was it just a coincidence? Like anyone could have appeared? Or did the ball look through Reika’s heart (yeah lol I know) and saw who she really wanted to make?

Anyway, I’m really interested to see what she’ll do now. Will she make the Kurono’s appearance a secret? Will it be exposed to the others? Will she argue with the man? Will the man reveal anything else?

Or maybe we will finally see something more of Reika.. with her new "Kurono".. lol It’s been sometime since Gantz showed some porn-like stuff. Lately, all current characters have kind of grown enough and there’s not really any sex psychos out there anymore, I was surprised Gantz had become so "porn" free. Anyway, I must sound like a total hentai, moving on, great twist, never thought it would really happen.

The Meaning Of Finished

So, everyone is getting the finished line, all with different kinds of grammatical errors lol They conclude that "finished" must mean it’s over but, the end hints into the true meaning being found on the next issue.. so we’ll see then.

Then, Nishi gets 100 points and he decides to get a more powerful weapon (really cool scene where is just ignores everyone lol). Even if it’s malfunctioning, that fact that it allows someone to continue there and get a more powerful gun, must mean this isn’t over yet. And really, I doubt this is over, that "finished" must mean something else.

Anyway, Reika has 100 points too and concedes Kurono’s wish and revive Suzuki-chan. Then, Gantz starts acting weird, I mean even weirder than before. Seriously, the state Gantz’ is in, I’m not sure it was a good idea to try and revive someone.. they could come back wrong or something.

Anyway, we’ll have to wait now. I think Kurono will get 100 points too and maybe be able to revive the other one. I’m kind of disappointed Host and the others didn’t get no points at all..

But anyway, as I said, I don’t think it’s anywhere near over. It’s shame so few got the 100 points because what I think they should do is get a lot of powerful weapons and also revive hunters like Izumi who are really powerful (and I would just love to see Izumi, awesome character that really made this manga interesting). As for Suzuki, I’m not sure his revival will really happen, not just because Gantz is mal functioning but, because his story kind of ended, like with real closure, no point in bringing him back and ruin that.

Also, has someone pointed in mangahelpers, it made me think that maybe Gantz could also be thinking of making an "all-star" team or something and the finished ones are just the ones that weren’t chosen among all the Gantz’s balls. Anyway, I don’t think it’s likely. Maybe there will also be some revelation about the Y-gun and where it is really sending the aliens to.

Great chapter, the mystery continues, can’t wait to read more.

Colony Collapse Disorder

Everybody meets in the room. Some are missing and, of course, Kurono is the survivor’s first worry. Katou appears, no one else. Nishi asks Gantz to just assign the point already. It starts changing but, Kurono appears anyway.

Kurono still fought to the end and defeated the alien although I really tough he was finished for a while.

Anyway, Gantz starts with Cherry, it says 0 pts and "Finished". What does this mean? He’s finished because he got no points in the end? He’s finished in the sense that it’s over and he can return home? Anyway, we’ll have to wait for the next chapter.

There’s some theories about it meaning that Sakurai didn’t get 100 points, so he stays forever in Gantz with no more chance of gaining points and leaving. But, the world supposedly is going to end, Gantz is related to all that, probably a measure against it. I doubt the current Gantz will still exist after this "world destruction" thing ends. Also, I doubt things are over.. not all aliens were destroyed. I don’t thing Gantz is gonna let anybody leave now. This is the time to keep the strong fighting.

There’s also the text on the ball, I’m not sure if it’s gibberish because of the malfunction or if it said something that helped everyone become shocked, besides the fact that they though Kurono wasn’t coming back.

Shutdown

Inaba really is gone. The transfer starts almost right after his fall. He was really unlucky. Anyway, it seems Gantz is pulling back before it loses all it’s hunters.

Kurono and Kei continue fighting the statue that killed Inaba while the others transfer. In the end, Kurono seems to be the last one standing. He notices the old man too and doesn’t back down from the fight. He’s about to die when the chapter ends. But, I guess he’ll be transfered in time.

As for the others, at least Inaba and the oldman, I doubt they still have a breath of life in their bodies for Gantz to take them back. I wonder if survivors from all teams will be all sent to the same Gantz’ room.

I hope there’s some revelation in Gantz next episode. I mean, Gantz won’t just distribute points and send them home. The aliens are still running amok in Italy. Maybe Gantz will let the survivors have all the equipment they need, after all they survived one of the hardest missions yet.
